  1. Done relevant settings as per bj-kaiser's post and still no joy... Vista Business connected OK by specifying domain\username when asked for credentials. Tried it on win 7 but no luck.
  2. It seems that at least for now this feature is not working... Anyone knows a workaround? I've tried adding the machine on the server again with no luck. The error that comes up is "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted". And yes, I am an administrator on the domain, so no privilege issues...
  3. Mine: Link
  4. Any particuar reason why you don't install from DVD? It's far easier...

  7. Hello and Welcome to THE forum! First, you need to tell us what version of Windows you are running. A first shot is to make the 7200 the default printer (getting to the Printers tab is why we need to know what Windows version you are running). nitroshift
  8. It will definitely require a call to M$, I can tell you that. But it should activate ok if you change some parts, not if you try to put it on a totally different machine.
  9. Still you'd be better off with a clean install.
  10. You are ok either way
  11. Install first the chipset driver and try downloading the latest network card drivers off Intel's site
  12. Yes... ...and yes.
  13. There's no really need for that. gpedit.msc will suffice.
  14. I'd say go for it. I've deployed it on more than 3000 machines with only a couple of issues with Realtek onboard sound (installed newer drivers and worked ok afterwards).
  15. You could also try the floppy version if you have a floppy drive
  16. The board in my signature does exactly the same
  17. Do you have any neon lights in your ps case?
  18. Download - Pre-Compiled EXE file for USB Key (Pure DOS) and run it off a USB stick.
  19. When you link to a router in LAN, you connect to its LAN ports by an IP address.
  20. Running a network of almost 12k pc's and one thing i can tell you: your employees WILL find a way around any measure you take. Take for example Yahoo! messenger: block its ports and still you can run it on http, straight off a web page, so you will have to filter that address out through a proxy, router, etc... You`re on a quite big task, trust me. But good luck!!!
  21. Someone please move this to the Funny Farm... I'm still trying to get my breath back I am laughing so hard
  22. That still won't delete the System Volume Information folder
  23. Any VNC solution will do: RealVNC, UltraVNC, etc...
