  1. TigerWolf - Well acording to ZoSTeR's Universal Silent Switch Finder (very handy) If that doesn't do the trick then I suggest looking into using AutoIt.
  2. Well I'd do as Kenny suggested in so far as: start /wait autoit3.exe scriptname.au3 But the script I would do would look some thing like so: Run("App_Name.exe /Switchs"); Orginal file execution WinWaitActive ('Second_Process_Finish_Window Title'); Pause's script till this Window is Created, then exits. My script executes the orginal file...along with any switch's it may have....then actively waits for the last window to be created....at that point the script is completed...then your "start /wait" would continue on as normal...tho in reality there maybe a second or two left that the program is still active....tho it should be just waiting for the finish window to exit. So mine may jump the gun...but it shouldn't make a diff (normally) and you should be zipping through your install as quickly as possible.
  3. hehe little late to the show but what the heck...you can find most the commands if not all the commands currently in CS at planet half life....you can also vist counter script as well....is there a command or var your needing help with? if so I can probably help out...hehe I'm one of the more well known scripters out there for Quake engine games...tho I don't play CS...and I'll reserve my view & comments on it.. Sounds are normallly played by the command "play" followed by the file or the path & file. Thats client side only. If I recall correctly HL has a command "speak" that can broadcast a number or words and letters and numbers tho if I recall it also had a mildly quirky syntax...ether way both of those should be covered at the above mentioned sites. Best of luck
  4. mazin - ahh good show, keep up the good work.
  5. Well I'd like to see Netgear make it into the pack if possible. And thanks for all the good work & effort.
  6. Well it looks like if you want the new XPI files to be installed by default they would have to be listed under [setup Type0] & under [Component $Title_Name$] the XPI's "Attributes" should be some thing like "SELECTED|VISIBLE|IGNORE_XPINSTALL_ERROR" I haven't tested this. Examples [Setup Type0] ;*** LOCALIZE ME BABY *** Description Short=&Standard ;*** LOCALIZE ME BABY *** Description Long=Browser will be installed with the most common options. ; List of components to install/enable for this Setup Type. ; All other components not listed here will be disabled if ; this Setup Type is selected. 7. What files can we get away with ripping out of the base driver set and still have a functioning card. hehe I know thats a rather broad question. But like help (hlp) files should generally be okay to remove, same for text files....but what about Catalog (cat) files...are they realy required if your not needing signed drivers...what about Config (cfg)....so on and so forth. I'm just looking to get my UA to cover a lot of hardware and have up and running in basic form really quick...so the smaller the compressed archive is that I have to copy over and decompress for PNP the faster it will be...post base install I can always run a batch to fully install the required drivers and thier toys. Any thoughts or idea's?
  8. [bM]Crusher - Now I'm taking a bit of a stab in the dark here...but I'm guessing that fuctions the same as: cmdow @ /HID @echo off set tagfile=\WIN51 IF EXIST C:%tagfile% SET CDDRIVE=C: IF EXIST D:%tagfile% SET CDDRIVE=D: IF EXIST E:%tagfile% SET CDDRIVE=E: ... In which case I suffer from a issue and thats hdd's (raid) showing up post the execution of that code...which then bumps the cdrom to a different value...but its not reflected in the code. Tho I do run that code from RunOnceEX.cmd....maybe I should have it placed else where...well thanks for you time thus far...and any working answers are more than welcome.
  9. edmoncu - So with DetectCD2 I would just add some thing like so to the cmdlines.txt: [COMMANDS] "CMD DetectCD2 /C" Then %cdrom1% and %cdrom2% values would be useable for the likes of runonceEX...so I could then use some thing like: REG ADD %KEY%\015 /V 1 /D "%CDROM1%\Software\AdobeReader\AR6.msi /qn" /f Or am I missing some thing? Also where should it be placed? $OEM$ or $OEM$\$$\SYSTEM32 hehe or else where?
  10. Also back up key3.db, signons.txt and prefs.js....as for plug-in's I haven't looked in to as of yet but I'll be sure to post my findings when I do. My current list of plug-in's: Bookmark Links Checker ChromEdit Compact Menu CuteMenus DownloadWith Find Statusbar Grippies Launchy Mycroft RSS Reader Panel RadialContext Smoothwheel Sort Bookmarks Tabbrower Extensions Things They Left Out Web Developer ....must say I really am finding this browser very nice to use...just a few minor bug's left in it.
  11. I was wondering if it makes a differance how the ?headers? are layed out in the file...or for that matter their answers? Also are there any that are not mentioned in the ref.chm file? Here is a list of the ones contained in the ref.chm file: ; ========================== ;| File: WinNT.sif | ;| OS: Windows XP Corp | ;| Ver: 0.04 | ;| Date: 02/12/04 | ;| By: Nologic | ; ========================== ; ================================= ;| Hardware | ; ================================= [MassStorageDrivers] [OEMBootFiles] ; ================================= ;| Setup | ; ================================= [Unattended] [GuiUnattended] [Data] ; ================================= ;| Operating System | ; ================================= [Display] [GuiRunOnce] [LicenseFilePrintData] [PCHealth] [RegionalSettings] [Shell] [SystemFileProtection] [SystemRestore] [TapiLocation] [UserData] [Win9xUpg] ; ================================= ;| Internet Explorer | ; ================================= [Branding] [Proxy] [URL] [FavoritesEx] ; ================================= ;| Networking | ; ================================= [Homenet] [Networking] [Identification] [NetServices] [MS=NwSapAgent parameters] [MS=Psched parameters] [MS=RAS parameters] [MS=RasSrv parameters] [MS=Server parameters] [MS=WLBS parameters] [NetAdapters] [NetProtocols] [params.adapter instance] [protocol parameters section] [adapter=specific=protocol=section] [NetBindings] [MS=AppleTalk parameters] [MS=ATMArps parameters] [MS=ATMLANE parameters] [MS=ATMUni parameters] [MS=L2TP parameters] [MS=NetMon parameters] [MS=PPTP parameters] [MS=TCPIP parameters] [NetOptionalComponents] [NetClients] [MS=MSClient parameters] [MS=NWClient parameters] [MS=NWIPX parameters] ; ================================= ;| Services | ; ================================= [DCInstall] [Fax] [InternetServer] [OsChooser] [RemoteInstall] [SNMP] [TerminalServices] ; ================================= ;| Optional | ; ================================= [Components] [Certsrv=Client] [CertSrv=Server] ; ======= ;| EOF | ; ======= Hehe any input on this silly question is welcome.
  12. Datalore - The only thing that comes to my mind is to do a normal install onto a system then apply some thing like XPlite to cut the install down to next to nothing, then make a ghost image of the hard drive once your happy with it...then all you have to do is find some way of ether editing the ghost image to remove the hardware profile, or run some sort of script after you install the ghost image to make the needed changes. Not much to go off of, but maybe doing some searching on the web will turn up some thing.
  13. Heh that kicks a$$, many thanks. I checked out your current build of your XP CD creation scripts...much nicer and more complete. Well keep adding more polish and features to it, because it sure helps open the eyes of some of us.....hehe okay namely me. *Update* Okay taking this one step further Could one do the same thing in the "Programs Files" folder with the actual app's...and if so what and how bad could issues come of this...if at all? I mean could a simple run of Norton WinDoctor fix the any linkage issues or hopefully some thing that can be done from the scripts & a simple exe....hehe or am I getting to out of hand.
  14. Is there any way to clean up the start menu via scripts or any other method so that things are not just tossed all around? Like creating a CD\DVD folder, then moving any and all app's that may fit that grouping to that folder. Same thing with a Graphic's folder, but maybe break that up into smaller subfolders Pixil, Vector, 3D... Any ways hopefully what I discribe is easy enough to follow...heh now making it happen maybe a different story.
  15. Cool scripts, be sure to keep us up to date with any changes.
  16. Frankly I don't know if you need ISObuster or not...but I normally work off the MS loader. Really ether way it shouldn't make a diff...but if you can grab the MS.img so much the better. Taken from this tutorial on slipstreaming...but that one is for CD....but it sounds like the same deal.
  17. Heh there are some gamers here...just CS isn't my thing...now if you where in to some SoF II I could probably teach you a thing or two.
  18. Well I don't know how to do it with any reg script...but you could send him a link to UltraMon which so far I prefer over the HydraVision software that comes with the CAT drivers...tho I haven't played with the current version of those yet...any ways have him try it out...it'll do what he needs done plus a few other things as well.
  19. National Security Agency (Security Recommendation Guides) Hi guys, not sure if many of you will be interested in that link, but for me I found it of deep interest, since the reason I'm here on these forums is because my system had been raped before I even had built my base install.....hehe thus the idea of trying to beat the punks to the punch (heh a locked up system at post OS install). I'll probably be posting other links, or code in the coming weeks. Happy reading
  20. Here is another post that gosh posted...not sure where off hand I seen it...but it was worth while enough that I keeped a copy of it. Any ways both are good posts, but as 996 mentioned it would be nice to get a list of files that match up with the entrys...shouldn't be a big deal...maybe I'll see if I can figure out a list...might be a few days so if any one else gets a hair up thier a$$ feel free to beat me to the punch.
