  4. LOL! That has to be the best linux quote ever. I actually laughed when I read that.
  5. Yeah, BartPE is fine. As for deleting that folder- if you want to be safe, just delete it's contents. If you like taking risks, delete the whole folder. It may destroy Windows, I can't remember
  6. Thank your for your suggestions, list updated.
  7. Your english is understandable Welcomet to the forums! Enjoy your stay

  10. I'm looking for some free alternatives to these commercial software titles. I realize half of them have trials, but they either expire in 30 days or have nags. 11. What kind of window are you trying to open? An internet explorer window? A Windows explorer window? A new program window? Please elaborate.
  12. From this page. If those don't work, boot off of a Windows PE or Linux cd and mount the drive and delete the folder.
  13. Ok, go to File -> Publish Settings and do the following: On the Flash tab: Check "Omit trace actions" Check "Compress movie" Play around with the JPEG Quality. The lower you make it, the smaller the movie- but also the more distorted the picture will become. Find a good balance between quality and size. If you have sounds, lower the bitrate to reduce size That's all I can think of for now, hope it helps!

    hello

Hello, imwlw83! Welcome to MSFN! I hope you enjoy your stay at the forums.
  15. We're glad you're here too! Welcome to MSFN
  16. Ok, a month later... Found another one. http://xp.modrica.com/ Redirects to MSFN.org, who knows why they would do that instead of having a link... Hmm Googling for weird links to MSFN is fun. http://216.127.65.101/board/index.php Came up as a mirror of the page, but doesn't seem to exist anymore. Maybe an old IP of MSFN? Google's last cache of it was sometime around June 2003. Anybody else find anything interesting?
  17. Same here, but I made a Ghost backup just for this reason- I wonder if it'll work. Haven't tried it yet
  18. Don't take my word on it, though... I came to that conclusion after some intense Google searching
  19. Thanks for the info, xper. I'll have to rent that movie
  20. You need IconTranslate from TGTSoft. (First download on page) That will allow you to convert other iconsets into something StyleXP can use.
  21. Hackers
  22. In the future they may provide support for it, as of right now I am not sure if it's supported.
  23. Sorry to hear you went through so much trouble- I think I'm going to stay away from SP2 until it reaches final.
  24. If it's the Master Boot Record that's corrupted, you can boot off of a Windows XP CD, hit R to enter Recovery Console, and type "fixmbr". Then type "fixboot C:" or whatever drive it is. There are also some third party tools from Norton and the like, but with a problem like this the WinXP cd worked just fine.
  25. Wow, that sucks. Yet another reason to completely disable ActiveX control downloading.
