I do wonder too? Are there a few dependencies missing or a bunch.Not to nag but this is a feature i would like to see on my Windows 98SE2ME if possible.

I notice after installing 98SE2ME that C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS still has older files versions like explorer.exe for example. Will it be wise to replace those as well with newer version, just curious?

Will USBVIEW.exe be added and will explorer.exe be upgraded to the newer version?

Hosts.exe It does not replace nor backup the original so it means it does not copy at allUpdated HOSTS installers, please check them out:http://www.mdgx.com/html.htm I've tested them both on my 98 SE + XP SP2 system, they work ok. HTH When i install on Win2000 it just hangs at cmd.exe screen

Have you tried it?If you did, does it work ok in Win98 SE? I have not tested it [yet]. I been working from a Win2000 machine so i'm not able to test at the moment

I see where u coming from Petr most of these people don't try to fix the problem @ hand they just update them and adding more support doesn't fix the problem. sometimes u gotta fix things yourself.

Then why isn't this used as a replacement if it doesn't have the same drawbacks as Win98SE its simple and get the job done

I think no service pack of any kind should not include 3rd party Let say i like mpc and you like WMP someone else likes Vlc etc.... just adding any one them will bloat it up because everybody have their personal preference about what Notepad, Media Player,etc... program they wanna use.For all you pack makers i love your work but Damm is it so hard to make a pack without including the stuff you prefer? A service pack or whatever with just system updates is not gonna kill anyone.

Can we get a Games only option to 98SE2ME please also about the help files and chm files installed by 98SE2ME can you have them all sent to the help folder with all the rest of the chm/hlp files my system is very organize.The 98SE2ME chm needs to be updated also it should be installed to the help folder even after installation of the 98SE2ME folder. Also USB from option 1/2/8 does not work properly i have to install NUSB. It did used to work once upon a time but not now you might have to analyze Maximus Decim Native USB ver.2.3 and figure out the culprit of things. Can we get a icon change on the start button please the old one looks dry. Other than that its running lovely

Q925398 does not install properly i still have older version of STRMDLL.DLL which is 4.1.00.3925 Q926247 does not prompt before install and after installation i keep getting SNMP message saying could not launch application at start up and can you update Qfecheck.exe with version 4.10.0.1998 because it has version 4.0.0.950 which breaks the expansion tree but the older version creates the shortcut in system tool and i would like to keep that function I even gave it a better icon

I want to create a room with every OS on a different computer but i need to know the max specs for each one graphics cards, monitor,sound card,ram,cpu,hard drive etc... so far i have all disk except NT4/2003/Vista that won't be a problem getting them. Then i will work on asking for a service pack for each one including tweaks/hack/patches etc... 1st thing 1st i need to know the Maxium Specs for each OS. Mods when you get a chance can you move this to software because i'm targeting all system not just Win98SE
