@ dencorso Do you think your down version patching trick will work with most files?

I witness this problem myself Fredledingue so i installed SCR569X which fix the problem for me. Also note to MDGx I have 2 version of WSCRIPT.EXE no need for both so one can be deleted but i'm not sure which 1 both files work ok 5.7.0.16535 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM 5.6.0.8832 C:\WINDOWS

What is it that allows Programs to detect that you are using Win98/SE/ME? Is it Registry files/Systems files etc...

Thanks for your response when you have time can you let us know the fonts that do work even though they have a older dates.There are fonts like chiller.ttf with 1999 date stamp that was installed by office 2007 that is not installed by Win98/SE/ME Office 2000 etc.... and MSONSEXT.DLL is newer

yes its works for me too but i tryed it on my WinXP machine and change command.com to cmd.exe in the reg file.

Hello peoples i just installed office 2007 on my Windows XP machine and quite a few files were updated HLP95EN.DLL MSONSEXT.DLL MSOWS409.DLL MsWrd832.CNV RICHED20.DLL USP10.DLL write32.wpc and a bunch of nice looking fonts i was wondering if guys/gals can test the files for me due to my power supply going out on my windows98 machine heres the link to the files http://rapidshare.com/files/44082883/Fonts.zip.html

WinXP has a Windiff.exe 5.1.2455.0 and Win98SE is 4.0.1381.1 has anyone noticed this and have tested its in the support tools pack http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

Remove SETUPAPI.DLL 5.1.2600.2180 and use the one from WinME uninstall all usb drivers then install NUSB.EXE below and all should go well http://www.mdgx.com/spx/NUSB.EXE

I hate to keep posting the same replies but it continues to get ignored so i gotta keep posting sorry for the annoyance the bug is in 98KRNLUP.EXE rename the txt extension to exe MDGx will have to revise the installer

Do you know if DivX.dll 6.6.1.4 works ok With Win98SE

just reinstall it and everything wil go back to normal

win95 shell32.dll is already faster than win98 shell32.dll but certain programs don't work with 95shell32.dll so if you add 98 resources to 95 shell it will have speed and able to use apps that requires a newer shell just a thought

Is it possible to take the resources from the Win98 shell32.dll and add the to the Win95 shell32.dll for speed purposes using a tool like resource hacker or whatever

so its safe to say this file is ok or what how many bugs etc... it this a replace for command.com?
