  1. MSPAINT.EXE 5.00.1523.1
  2. Thanks, but I am not able to reproduce the breakage. Can anyone else confirm this?
  3. I'm still not understanding your issue with the older paint program. Please give us step by step instructions, so we can try and reproduce the error/problem. Thanks, but I had no intentions whatsoever in changing it
  4. There is no need for it. From what I can tell, SP3.x installs all infs correctly.
  5. All the updates that are included on the CD are already included in SP3.x The only ones that are not included areInternet Explorer 6 SP1 DirectX 9.0b Windows Media Player 9 .Net Framework Those updates alone will triple the size of SP3.x. Not everyone uses Windows Media Player 9 and Internet Explorer 6 SP1.
  6. Thank you
  7. Thanks, Dave-H Hope you guys enjoy 3.9. I'm banking on it, that hopefully it will be a solid and stable release.
  8. This is M$ way of saying, Windows 8 is here, and if you don't upgrade immediately I will make it hard for you by not allowing you to update WinXP.
  9. I'm going to downgrade from Win 7 and put WinXP back on my system. I have one computer with 4gb of ram dual core etc.... Win 7 is still slow.
  10. Thanks Kel I don't think some will ever get it. The first thing people do is skip over the instructions and then want to complain when something goes wrong. Its not like I change the instructions every update. One, only has to read them once. And, if something needs specifying, I will make sure its done. I prefer people like you, dencorso, Foxbat, jaclaz and others to mediate for me. Sometimes I just can't handle it. I have gotten better though. Thanks guys.
  11. Why so much? I don't want another issue like this, when people don't follow instructions
  12. I already have 2 gigs of ram for the Pentium M. I have tons of spare parts for desktops and laptops. Thanks Ponch. I'll let you guys know how it goes
  13. I want to know if its possible to swap the following CPU. My Inspiron 1200 has a Celeron M 1.30 GHz cpu and the Dell Latitude 120L Pentium M 1.73 GHz. The latitude I haven't bought yet, but if I could swap the cpu, I will be buying immediately. I going to keep my inspiron. Even if it don't work, I'm still going to buy it, fix it up and sell it. Its only 50 bucks.
  14. 3.9 Main Updates option will require at least a 128 mb of ram. This will prevent users in the future who decides they don't want to read or follow instructions. I can always set it higher but 128 is ok for now. If anyone uses an older version of 3.x, there is no need for a clean install. All 3.x versions are compatible with each other.
  15. Sorry, but no. The uninstall feature was removed by the original creator. This is why its stated in the readme to backup. This is why people should read before continuing. Im sorry for your troubles.
  16. What all did you install? What version did you use? What are your computer specs. What software did you have installed before SP3.x?
  17. I'm going to assume 3.8 is pretty stable. We haven't any major nor minor issuses regarding the latest release. We have done well. I might release 3.9 this weekend. Thanks guys
  18. http://retired.beyondlogic.org/dddtools/remove.zip jaclaz Thanks, but this won't work. It doesn't automate the tasks needed to delete all necessary drivers. With the tool, one will have manually delete which is not ideal. Its basically the same as going through Safemode. We need a tool to scan for all USB devices, delete them, reboot and re-detect on startup without the users input. I haven't given up yet and have no intentions to do so. If we don't find a universal solution, I will be forced to rest my hand.
  19. His site offers both. You need to search a little bit more.
  20. MDGx site should have most if not all the updates for Win98 FE. As for a Windows 98 FE Microsoft only updates, if no one hasn't done it in all these years, its probably not going to happen. Even Gape's SP 2.1a was great but didn't include Direct X, Dotnet Framework and Internet Explorer. With those three packages alone, you are looking well over a 100mb.
  21. Thank you for your feedback. I haven't been able to reproduce your issue using the older paint program. All features are working as they should.
  22. MDAC 2.8 SP2 does NOT work on Win98. We will have to stick with MDAC 2.8 SP1. I did find some updates that did install and register properly. 23. I'll give this a test run after I release 3.9 Thanks
