I was playing around with option 3 hoping that I could get Media Transfer Protocol working. No Go I did notice the uninstall function does not work for option 3. Thanks

I have found 2 minor bugs in 3.12. I have release 3.13. Main Updates has Not changed. The issues are minor, and you probably wouldn't notice them. Mdac 2.8 and Windows Millennium Edition/Windows 2000 Theme option had the bugs. I have fix them.

I have been working on the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). The drivers seems to work but I cant access any media. I did the same thing in WinXP and I was able to see the media through windows explorer. I think we might need a app to view it on Win98. I'll look into it some more. If you guys have any ideas, please post them.

Who will create the list?

I guarantee you, when someone decides to make that list you are going to have those who will ignore the list. How ideal is it to create a list for users just to point them to the list? This is why we have a search function, and is it used? Forget being optimistic because it means nothing once reality kicks in.

I have to disagree Not all, but it will be many that will not read, even if it is on the first page We have been down this road already. Since 3.12 has only small changes, there is no need to install Main Updates. There has been no changes to Main Updates. These are the only changes Added MANGAL.TTF Microsoft VOLT 1.2 Added TEMPSITC.TTF Plus!98 CD Added Artwork Added Original start up and shut down logos with [second Edition] You can let SP3 install the 2 fonts added or manually do it yourself, the same goes for start up and shut down logos. I will release 3.12 later tonight. I'm really excited to see SP3 has reached a high level of security, stability, and performance. Thanks to all of you guys.

I seem to remember Mark Russinovich saying something about Win9x call-hooking being unreliable, and this was the reason that ProcMon only worked on NT, and that FileMon and RegMon didn't capture 100% of the events or allow boot logging. This is why long ago I decided to skip attempts at realtime capture ( Win9x really doesn't need another destabilizing variable ) and just do before and after logs. Save a complete Registry Export and also a complete FileList ( DIR C:\ /a /s >FILELIST.TXT ). The FileList should be done using a patched COMMAND.COM naturally. See here and here. Then you can WinDiff them at your leisure later rather than the substantial risk of a realtime monitor which by design must use a custom driver VXD. Risking a BSOD during a System Restore is a nomination for a Darwin Award! Just my IMHO. I have already patched the COMMAND.COM in Win98 and already included them in the SP. @ Svenne, I like your start banner. I was wondering instead of Windows 98SE USP3, maybe add Windows 98SE Service Pack 3. I actually like Service Pack to be spelled out if its not too much trouble. I like your blue background as well. What I was aiming at, was only adding PROBLEMCHYLD to the banner for my own personal system. I was wondering if you guys had some free time, can someone make me a personal start banner with PROBLEMCHYLD in red with white outline around the letters with the same or close to the blue background that Svenne start banner has. @ TmEE, it doesn't matter if you use MS Paint or not, as long as it look good. You will have to replace SHELL32.DLL blank icons with the shortcut arrows. I posted this and let people know this is optional but it installs with the Windows 2000 icons/theme option. I wasn't going to make a separate options for icon arrows. Remember guys, this pack can be stable on most systems but will not suit everyone needs. Another alternative would be to patch Tweak UI 1.33 so we don't have this problem. There is no cake and ice cream, but cake or ice cream. If Microsoft couldn't give it to us, then I can't either Our member Drugwash said. if time allows it, he might be able to give us an installer with the sub-options.Until then, we have to be patient. I like the Microsoft font style you used, it nice and clearer I'm not a big fan of the Service Pack font I do like the original better. BTW, the AVI was in the very first 3.0. I had to remove it when I released 3.1. I'm sorry Drugwash, but that purple does not look good with the original colors. I know thats your favorite color but.......I also agree we can probably leave the Microsoft in but find a way to add Unofficial.
