@XPerceniol Dark Passenger= The quiet voice or voices that get louder and louder. "Worry about this, worry about that" "Be anxious and nervous about this or that" "Get angry over this or that" "A drink would make you feel better, just one, it won't hurt" -among many others.

Sometimes when I'm trying to keep my dark passenger from presenting, I watch weird stuff, like the end of Secretariat. Something about that horse just lifts my spirits. To dig deep and find something inside, to pull off the seemingly impossible.

I read the book series, pretty good.

Don't ever let anyone tell you are weak. Don't ever let anyone tell you to stop the meds. (regarding stopping meds-except your physician) We grow stronger as we fight. The fight itself is hard but nothing worth doing is ever easy.

I'm in my 13th year of sobriety and this occurs to me all the time. I can guarantee myself though, through vivid memory that being drunk (for me) is much much worse. The demons inside that we hide come out when I drink.
