  1. Why do you even need a poll? **Removed**
  2. are in you WIndows yet? AUTORUN.INF is used ONLY to start up an autorun program FROM WITHIN WINDOWS.
  3. does your CDSHELL menu start? If yes, then IT'S NOT CDSHELL. IS A NT BASED SYSTEM FAILURE. Which means its IN YOUR bootsectors and you didn't properly edit all your files. Which is one thing I wanted a translation on, is I'm betting an error saying something is not a multiple of 2KB or something. Mount the ISO in a virtual CDROM, and then have VirtualPC grab the virtual drive.
  4. can you not read? I said if the server wasn't working by today, that I would provide a new link.... http://home.comcast.net/~alanollv/WINAMP.MSI
  5. How big are your MST files? Most shouldn't be that large correct?
  6. I would suggest neither myself. At cmdlines.txt, the registry is not finalized and still goes under revisions, so any changes may be lost. T-9, the system is shutting down and closing everything. Most of the registry is already saved to disc and unhived to the user logs in. Think of it as the limited user that is present prior to logging into the system. If you want NO PROBLEMS, do it at GUIRUNONCE/RUNONCEEX.
  7. The optimization switch purely means the file data will be written twice, however, the file will appear in more then one folder. If you were to copy it over to another folder from your optomized ISO to a folder on your hdd or another computer, you will have two EXACT copies of the file. If you want to see something interesting, open my computer, and single click on the CDROM, and see how large the system thinks it is. Then open the CD, and select ALL, and click properties, the size will be drastically different the more it's optimized. To sum it all up.... It optomizes to one file, but when copied, it will be BACK TO HOW YOU HAD IT ORIGINALLY WITH TWO COMPLETELY SEPERATE IDENTICAL FILES. Sorry for the caps, but someone else is bound to ask this again.
  8. By god, the first person I see that says... "I followed the SiMoNsAyS's method" I'm gonna do something to. I already find it annoying seeing "Pure Krome method" and the various others. It's really pointless, as with teh exception of RAID/SATA drivers (being one is txtsetup.sif and the other is MassStorageDevice) they're EXACTLY the same. Sorry, I'm just rambling now..... But yeah, the links are broken here too. NOw to put MORE work for ya, I WANT PICTURES
  9. you could also, move all your stuff into your profile folder, and have your security settings set no one else can access it. I think you can do it with other folders too, but the profile dir I know for sure. It's a real bugger getting back into if you accidently install XP ontop of itself (not reformating, just reinstall) and if you loose the User account......have fun. Had to boot up a 98 image with NTFS software to access the drive.
  10. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=23147 Read that before you get ANY help, as it may very well solve your problem, or if NOTHING else it will be asked of you to MAKE A LOG FILE which that posts tells you how to do.
  11. Translation anyone? the Couldn't Find NTLDR error is because you either DIDN'T modify ALL the files correctly, or you did it wrong.
  12. are you sure your pressed the key in time? this is NOT related to winnt.sif.
  13. Just wait a day or so for xtrememac to figure it out. Or better yet, you could PM him. If it's not up tomorrow, I'll upload it to another place. And I must ask, that others not provide links.
  14. just because this is obvious to me, and anyone who EVER declares variables.... where is your CDROM declared? NEVER. if you had followed the guide on the website, it will work PERFECTLY. /L: should NOT be %CDROM%, as 1. CDROM is not declared, 2. It's stupid. Put it to M or to be safer (if you have more drives) U or something. Use FINDCD.EXE AS THE WEBSITE SAYS.
  15. you never mentioned whether or not if you pressed enter at that screen if it continues.... Also, double check your key, perhaps ONE character is wrong.
  16. Oh no you didn't post without reading the rules.... Please try to remember next time.
  17. Lets see.... Custom theme is easy, as well as teh cursors/icons/sounds as it's all in the same file. Set it like you want, open up the Desktop Control Panel, and click save as... Logon, easy method would be to use LogonStudio from ObjectDock, or you can go through manually as all it really is is a HTML type file with some CSS. Kernel, must we go other this again? Man, soo many posts on this, and almost all of them I've been a part of because PEOPLE DON'T READ. But in any case, nice to see someone doing somethng I personally like how you have an overall theme to your disc. I had a LOTR one myself for a bit I"m warning you in advance though, people aren't gonna read this before asking questions. lol. Just won't happen.
  18. I dunno about the other AIO gurus, but I can't diagnose a problem without knowing it's syptoms. All you said was that it doesn't work, how doesn't it work? what errors do you get?
  19. /norestart is not a valid MSI switch, just so you know. try adding msiexec.exe /i prior to the MSI calls.
  20. 1. Use Code Tags 2. Did the files get copied over to %systemdrive%? DO you have the directories to be copie din $OEM$\$1? Do you have OEMPREINSTALL=YES in your winnt.sif 3. Remove your serial and whatnot from your code. 4. Use a search. Or better yet, look at the FAQ on the unattended site. Glancing through some more.... Your SunJAVA won't install properly, as /v /qb IEXPLORER=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress is not correct, should be /v"/qb IEXPLORER=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress" If you go with the " " around your statements, like start /wait "something.exe" /S try to use it ONLY when there are whitespaces("Program FIles" for instance) in your paths. If you do use quotes, be sure to also use start "" /wait "something.exe" /S
  21. Don't Double post please. I'm editing your above post and pointing it to your new one.
  22. @fourte3n Ah yes, introducing yourself is always good, even if it's alittle late (I still haven't introduced myself either , and I"m alittle bit more tardy then you)
  23. Which lands it firmly in the realm of Site/Forum issues prathapml. TO get the name changed, PM an admin in a day or so (they might see the post before then). As for the problem, thanks for brinign light to this, I'm sure the problem will be fixed shortly.
  24. I use primarily what crahak uses, along side Wise Install Package. I also use AdminStudio, and InstallShield X, but X doesn't have any capture abilities, and AdminStudio's sometimes doesn't catch everything.
  25. I personally use about $200 or more of software to get my tweaks. But I"m sure all of you don't have access to that kind of software (YAY Educational Agreements from Universities)
