  1. only reason I can see that it didn't work, is that maybe you're overwriting 074 somewhere else in your file. Did you try moving /qn after Xfull=1 or whatever. Other then that, I see NO reason why it won't work for you.
  2. Yes..... the File Version for SP2 should read 5.1.2600.2180 for it to work. As for If you're getting them from themexp.org, the newer ones should have a SP2 kernel. Otherwise, YES you will HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN. There are two programs that can do it for you, or you can use ResourceTuner. Boot Editor is a good option if you want it down for you.
  3. Wow....DX5....that's going back to the days of Windows 98. XP came with 8 to start with. I think Tsunami is right.
  4. @Tark Your problem is a simple version conflict. Downloading a kernel that ISN'T a SP2 kernel of build 2180 WILL NOT WORK. Simply hope whoever made it releases a new one, or you have to rebuild it yourself. @RaveRod My only guess is that the file you're editing is the multiprocessor kernel, and not the single. You could also avoid applying the bootscreen untill GUIRunOnce, as it WILL get replaced during setup. Around T-27 give or take. Are you sure youdon't have a hyperthreaded system? Are you testing in VMWare? If so, is your base system a hyperthread?
  5. well, there are two lists stickied..... perhaps here as well. http://www.appdeploy.com/
  6. You have to unhide system files
  7. it wasn't included simply because it was never included in the original. It's in SP2 because SP2 also updates Media Center Edition which needs it. DX and WMP were already in XP, so they had to be updated. .NET was not natively installed.
  8. You would be surprised. SOme people include the WRONG information. ie. "My files won't copy over from the CDROM, here is my install.cmd" Or they forget CODE tags when posting. :ahem: Or they forget to tell us they use nLite, and now they don't know why a certain program doesn't work Or they forget that we can't read minds (most anyway) B) A good 90% would either be solved faster, or get a decent response the first go around if the proper info was given.
  9. depends... what;s your winnt.sif file? possible screen shot of Windows saying missing section?
  10. Changed
  11. Please remember that next time. I'm also removing your Acrobat serial. Also, not to insult your english, but maybe next time you should use a translator? All i got was something was wrong with your adobe programs.
  12. THen they alone should ban themselves. Naziism is still around today, though not in the same form. As such, they shouldn't ban it. It's all technicallities.
  13. can you use it unattendedly?
  14. @Alpheratz13 DO NOT SEE MY LINK?? Seriously, it's not the voidfx.com domain. It's on my own webspace.
  15. did no one see my post earlier? WIth a link to the 1.1.2 build?
  16. You would think people would read the Unattended website a bit more. This is linked from it... http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htm
  17. This only works for one CD installs, or if the files your want to install are in your XP Source path. Otherwise, back to the IF EXIST. And just so you know, this has been posted before But thanks for posting.
  18. http://home.comcast.net/~alanollv/XPlode-1.1.2.zip Latest release/ excluding the 2.0tree.
  19. if I remember correctly, they removed botht he Nazi and Star of David from the font set, because people got offended when they were placed next to eachother in the font mapping...... Now seriously, who goes through the font mapping looking for this stuff? And why did Microsoft list it as a CRITICAL hotfix, when all it is is a font file....
  20. my DVDs fill up the 4.37 gigs of a single DVD, and I have no problems. But I use VMWare. Never bothered adding more, as I don't have any duallayer media....
  21. PM me for a title change. The post I believe you should be able to edit just fine.
  22. riiiight.... judging from the fact you DIDN'T post what you ahve..... I'm guessing your don't have WINNT.SIF will all the required info in I386, without it being called WINNT.SIF.TXT
  23. Boy, don't make me slap you I told you how to integrate it. I hold you how to find it. READ MY POST. Open a command prompt, go to the directory where your hotfix is, and type it's name then /? Read the box, and skim to the bottom.
  24. did you do a search? did you try /? did you try /help? did you search the website and the tech document that lists the hotfix? kb884020.exe /integrate:%XPCD% from a commandline. Create teh ISO, and test.
  25. worst case ever.
