  1. It says RIGHT THERE how to use it.
  2. perhaps you DON'T HAVE SLEEP? There's a reason why it's in the DOWNLOAD section.
  3. http://www.macromedia.com/support/shockwave/info/licensing/ That's the only way i know of to get it.
  4. Works fine here.... As does yours...... Darn that akamai
  5. Usually there is a folder called Root or SETUP or SOMETHING if the CD is create by someone other then Microsoft. And inside that folder in your case, will probally be 4 more each for each OS. Just copy those to a folder on your harddrive.
  6. http://www.msfn.org/board/tutorials/search.htm Watch that. Learn to search. Did you even TRY to search google for SLEEP , or even in the google box at the top. Did you TRY the search function of the board? I mean, a simple search for SLEEP on this board ALONG brings up... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=Se...hlite=SLEEP.EXE You don't search very hard.
  7. or check when his last post was......
  8. You COULD use Office update, to see what fixes are avaible or neccesary. Then go to their individual KB article, and download the ADMIN INSTALL of it, then slipstream THAT into the Office install as well. You're trying to download the CLIENT install, when you need the ADMIN install.
  9. Full Download - http://a1540.g.akamai.net/7/1540/52/200410...llInstaller.exe As for deploying, it would depend on how your network is setup. If you have the ability to add a group policy or logon scripts for whenever users logon, you could just do a silent install from the network. Sure have a check in the registry to see if it's already installed, but yeah. That's my guess.
  10. you're missing a ( " ) jsut before rundll32.exe but other then that, i BELIEVE it's correct.
  11. Indeed. Don't do it again.
  12. patience. But i also install from CD, which means any alterations made are effective right away, as NOTHIGN is copied over.
  13. I believe a simple SEARCH would enlighten your mind. I think it's a combination of OEMPreInstall and UnattendSwitch or something along those lines that disables the F6 to work. On a side, if it's only one system, why don't you just use nLite as it will integrate the driver for you? I know you said you don't want to, but the time it takes for you to figure out what line in WINNT.SIF is causing the problem, it would be faster just to integrate your drivers.
  14. It could also be someone at the CD/DVD pressing plant and they just swipe a disc and put it in their pocket...
  15. the Doom 3 graphics engine is more intensive on my system then the Source engine is. I tried to equal the settings between the games, and the Doom 3 just runs my system into the ground. (mind you it's a laptop). CS:S I get on average 60-70 FPS which isn't that bad considering the GPU i have is a RADEON 9600 MOBILITY.
  16. I'd have to check at home, but my cache includes all the Valve games minus CZ. I also preloaded HL2, and all combined pushes it over.
  17. is this the version that you can right-click on the INF and install? if so... rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 (PATH TO INFFILES)
  18. If I had a BAT/CMD file.....GO INF!!
  19. search winntbbu.dll, or simply search on the PINNED TOPICS specifically THreads of Interest
  20. did you consider replacing the kernel with the original from I386 on your directory?
  21. i don't remember 98SE being an upgrade CD in the sense of a service pack. I remember they had a CD with MOST of the improvements such as fixes on a CD, but the normal 98SE CD required you to ahve a valid product CD (if upgrade) to even install, but you could merge the two. But in reality, how do you expect us to know untill we get our hands on the final product?
  22. logonstudio saves it as logonuix.exe i believe as for teh proper kernel, open boot.ini and see if there is a kernel= entry and then copy that file
  23. please don't tell me that's what you seriously have in CMDLINES.TXT but in a CMD file that is called from CMDLINES.TXT CMDLINES.TXT is a VERY limited command interface. and looks like [COMMANDS] "Start.cmd" with start.cmd being in $OEM$ and CMDLINES.TXT also in $OEM$
  24. if you do not have a svcpack.inf file, make sure you don't ahve a svcpack.in_ in your I386 folder after nLite. If so, simply EXPAND svcpack.in_ back to svcpack.inf and open in notepad and add to it, then MAKECAB svcpack.inf . Otherwise (I'm sure you have a svcpack.inf if you've used nLite for hotfixes) just simply create the file yourself. Open in notepad, add the required sections and save it. And as a side note, this is more of an ADDING to the CD, and not an Integrating. Integrating/Slipsteaming would be replacing the orignal files with the updated ones.
  25. I believe a better question, atleast in the US is if you like the Induce Act and whether or not you downloaded something before it was available, but then buy it the second it hits the shelves. In the case of movies when it's out of theatres but it's not in DVD form yet.
