  1. You did what?????
  2. he did. Monitors what registry keys are edited, and adds them to the INF he replaces the updated files in I386 with the new ones from QFE i think in the hotfix file Adds the CAT file to SVCPACK.INF If you're just interested in making a multilingual pack, that's pretty much all that you need to do. You don't need to worry about modifying sysoc.inf or whatever. Just modify his INF file and keep the same name.
  3. what kind of programs are you trying to remove? built into Windows ones? or ones you added? Ones you added, just delete the references to it from your install routine, then delete it's files. Built into Windows, you can use nLite, or do it manually and edit out a few INF fiels on the CD. As for editing the ISO, I don't recommend this at all. I suggest you rebuild the ISO with whatever changes you want to make.
  4. I believe he's trying to get the boot folders... you could go download the bootdiscs.... or look at the Win2K section on how to do it through a VirtualMachine
  5. you're using a WINNT.SIF file Search for your problem. It's been discussed MANY times in the unattended forum.
  6. I know there is a way to add all the application installs to one DVD. Just copy the directory structre over there other. In one of the setup folders, there should be some XML files, and I'm not sure which (did it along time ago) or if each app is seperate, there is a tag that says which CD it's on. Change them all to 1 and you should be good to go.
  7. careful. Read the rules.... @muslim use the search botton on the top of the page (not the google), and search for ICQ 2004 or something. It's there, I've seen it numerous times. Also check the main switch threads.
  8. http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/XPCREATE/current.htm has a fair amount of them
  9. it will change resolution if you do it manually through Control Panel. or force it with the program. Or you include the drivers for VMWare
  10. most likely cause is the drivers are not installing... if they are, there is a program on the unattended website to force the resolution change.
  11. Frustration that something does not work is not just cause. Please search. OEMPreInstall=YES and not having the $OEM$ folder in the proper place are likely causes. $OEM$ should be along side I386 for CD installs, and inside in most other cases.
  12. alright....i need more specifics... did modify ANY XP FILE? You generalized, but if you told me specifically, I could probally pinpoint it to ONE thing, instead of giving you a list of a hundred things that could cause it....
  13. what all did you do to your CD?
  14. REG ADD %KEY%\003 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\AdobeReader\AdobeReader6.exe -p\"-s /v\"/qn\"\"" /f Don't forget to escpage quotes, and count the embedded quotes correctly You didn't escpe the quotes after the p and just before the last quote, and then the missing quote is unescaped (the one just before the /f) Could have sworn I've posted that exact line before.
  15. by the way, you didn't p*** me off. but now I can address this error, framedyn.dll atleast... did you search this thread? did you make the neccesary entries in txtsetup.sif for RyanVM's files? I forgot once and it caused the framedyn.dll error.
  16. you compile, I'll sticky. TIll then, the SEARCH button is a newbie's best friend.
  17. Geeeze. Post in the RyanVM's update pack THREAD like HE REQUESTED. Search for the framedyn.dll error. Did you use nLite, is taskkill.exe even in XP home? These are important things to note. Thread Closed.
  18. 1. XPinstall is the OLD XPlode. All functionality is implemented in Xplode. 2. %XPLODE% is teh current path to where Xplode is located.
  19. No worries, everyone gets the first few before I reply with a sarcastic remark of some sort...
  20. Finally, someone who doesn't want everything handed to them And seeing as you've recieved your help for today, and hopefully will read the site, and then begin SEARCHING before posting a noobish question (you know the ones I mean the "WHy don't the files copy over?" type questions.). Just alittle caution if your next thread is closed: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31253
  21. Taken from http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm Under "Drivers in winnt.sif [unattended]" Thread Closed.
  22. tis true, unless they're refering that he mistyped his serial or something. But, http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31253 Thread Closed.
