  1. you really need to read the topic before getting on someone's but about it. He was searching for the FULL product, not the reader. AcroPro.msi /qb will isntall Acrobat with he default options. Add the CDKEY to the Abcpy.ini file in the same folder (there is already one present, just enter your key)

where is the file currently located? go to the file, copy paste the address bar path.

    help

File Not Found is an XPlode error. It means XPlode can't find the file it's trying to execute. The problem lies eslewhere with your CD.
  4. You'll need an MSI editor. Installshield, Wise, and Orca should do the trick.
  5. /qb! is the switch you're looking for. If calling the MSI itself doesn't recognize the switch use msiexec.exe /i %PATHTOMSI%\some.msi /qb! /qb! is an internal Windows Installer switch so it should be recognized. What it could be, is that you don't have Windows Installer 2.0 installed. XP SP1 and up should have it though. And for reference: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....ine_options.asp
  6. so, is that a YES that there is a folder called BOOT on the ORIGINAL UBCD? I'm NOT TALKING ABOUT YOUR AIO-DVD! If there is a BOOT folder, then THAT is most likely what you should be searching for in the DAT file.
  7. was there a CDSH folder on the original UBCD? or could be called BOOT as well.
  8. Am I correct in assuming that all this change is Admin password, creates a user, and changes a few registry keys? Just curious.
  9. @swampy Do you know how to attach something? If not, let me know and I'll walk you through it. @j_stam_84 Looks promising, though I don't have the time to test at the moment. Have you considered PMing buckeyeXP? He was active yesterday on the board, so he'll probably get it.
  10. There we go! I went through and changed your [ CODE] tags to [ CODEBOX] tags. Causes them to have scolling so users don't have to Glad to see some innovation here! I must caution you however incase any foobar fanboys are around, as they may request that you remove your INF as it violates foobar's EULA. But then again, you didn't neccesary reverse engineer and create a new installer in teh same fashion they did...
  11. like Nanaki said, how would that be saved? Can't very write to a file on the CD. Can't save a registry value Depending on the part of setup, can't access the web....
  12. Super Moderator needs to go to Deep Ellum to find a women http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online...es/DD/hpd1.html <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What ya think I do Saturday nights? Most of the concerts are Saturday night, otherwise almost the entire street is closed down...
  13. i'm surprised someone comes to a board, and replys to a topic tat is getting on 6 months old.... I mean, I find people who don't search for anything, and yet these people search for the insignificant topics...
  14. ah but if everything was orderly, I could then spend my time doing OTHER things like getting 2003 SP1 to multiboot, making a workaround for XPlode to have conditional execution, updating the Unattended guide, redesiging it, upgrading it to the PHP so on and so forth.
  15. Surprisingly no. I won't say who, to protect the member in question, but it was not a "newbie" who did this.I must agree with MDGx, even though i didn't read the entire post. There are three options, two of which are readily available: 1. Enable the EDIT button 2. Disable the EDIT button 3. Require a MOD to approve any edits. The problem with number 3, is that you make an edit so that it's immediately available, however requiring an approval will not allow people to remove their posts in anger. But then there's the problem of whether or not it's even POSSIBLE with IPB. I know that for the Unattended PHP, this option will be enabled so that any edits must be approved, in fact any initial entries must be approved as well as it will appear directly on the page. It may also be possible to create another group of members who have use of the EDIT button, or perhaps enable a limit to the number of posts a member can edit in a single day or something. I know seperate groups will work, as I can edit any post, but I'm a MOD so...yeah... MSFN uses IPB with a few modified plugins and extras added in. I'll discuss this with xper, or if nothing else makes sure he's aware of this post.
  16. Thank you for posting in the wrong forum...
  17. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=announce&f=70&id=3 Why THANK YOU for not following...
  18. yup, just tried it. Perhaps you're not using a Unicode source... in either case: File>Save As. Near the bottom of the window, check the box that says "Include Unicode (BOM)"
  19. sounds like Dreamweaver is saving it in ASCII format...seeing as Unicode is twice a large to accomodate the large number of added characters
  20. If you create the file and in NOTEPAD and save it in Unicode, then when Dreamweaver opens it, it should retain that formating. Atleast when I use Dreamweaver it did. As for compatibility, the XML is exactly the same.
  21. I must thank you ONCE AGAIN for having ME put the proper tags in yet two more of your posts. And to show my gratitude, all future posts by you will be deleted if they do not use proper QUOTE and/or CODE tags. I've personally told you in this thread, and corrected you on the use of quote tags. There is a PUBLIC WARNING about using CODE tags. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=announce&f=82&id=3. The guide was made with an older version of the UBCD in mind. The guide is getting on....I believe...10 months old now. You have found the file you need to edit I believe.
  22. it's primarily to prevent users from deleting their posts because they got mad.
  23. The option to edit posts has been limited. I believe there is now a time limit. This change has occured because of a recent incident.
  24. There maybe no stupid questions, but there are definatley stupid answers. Be careful or you may get one or two Do what gunsmokingman linked. YAY for searching right?
  25. Thank you for having ME put in the QUOTE tags for YOU. Also, CAPS are not neccesary. The Quotes help to differentiate what is YOUR questions, versus what YOU'RE following. Now I can plainly see what is you and what is it. Understand? did you happen to open the file that cdshell.ini references? check for a main.scn file...
