  1. I have two HD, 200 GB each. That sounds like a lot (an actually it is...), but somehow I manage to have 350 Gb taken.. It's funny... about five years ago, I bought a 10,3 GB hard drive and then I thought it was immense and that I would never be able to use all that space.. Times sure have changed...
  2. I read a test a couple of years ago, where it stated that the difference between them in speed is in reality about 5 %. Depends off course on some other factors, but 5 % isn't really that much.
  3. Well, I guess there's no doubt about it that Google has the best search algorithms available these days. before Google I used to search a lot with altavista, because I liked the calm lay-out it had (the old one) and it did the job well. But now, it will be Google for the years to come I guess..
  4. What happens if you click on the X ? And what happens when you minimize the window, go to the taskbar and try to close a windows by right-clicking and CLOSE ? Doesn't that work also ??

From my own experience, NERO 6.X works just fine !
  6. It always amazes me, that religion can have such an enormous effect on people. And I'n not just talking about Muslims, but everyone who has a certain faith. If you just look around in your own enviroment and take a close look, you'll see that so many people make decisions all in the name of their belief... it always amazes me. Not that I condone it, but it goes to dangerous lengths. It gets so many people in so many trouble. People all over the world are smashing their heads for centuries, just because their "Father" tells them so... it's insane. And that's the real sad thing, that a lof of these "believers" act in the name of their faith. So they make the Bible or the Koran or whatever to their own personal manual and interpret them to their own good... Not only sad, but tremendously dangerous. As we all know.

  9. So.. we're ready to go after all: 4:06 PM EDT, 07/21/2005 NHLPA members ratify Collective Bargaining Agreement TORONTO (July 21, 2005) - The members of the National Hockey League Players' Association announced today that they have ratified the Collective Bargaining Agreement reached in principle last week with the National Hockey League. The 228 players in attendance took part in an intensive review of the prospective deal on Wednesday and Thursday, prior to voting on its ratification early Thursday afternoon. Those players who were unable to attend the meeting were able to review the document over the NHLPA's secured internal website and conduct their vote online. The NHL's Board of Governors is expected to convene tomorrow in New York, and an affirmative vote on their side would complete the formal ratification process. Following the announcement of the players' voting result, NHLPA Executive Director Bob Goodenow issued the following statement: "After two days of thorough discussion and analysis, the players voted in favor of ratifying the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. We expect the owners will ratify the agreement tomorrow as well. Once the ratification process is complete, the focus of everyone can turn to the 2005-06 season."
  10. And it's not a stupid question btw.. Why would it ??
  11. I used Capture Screen Studio (3.6.1) for a while. It did the job for me. You can find it at softpedia.com.
  12. Leave it to what it is right now.... it won't make a difference..
  13. Google is way ahead of modern science !! :)
  14. Not on Folders, you can enable quota's on Volumes though. Here's some info: Quotas and usersBecause disk quotas monitor volume An area of storage on a hard disk. A volume is formatted by using a file system, such as file allocation table (FAT) or NTFS, and has a drive letter assigned to it. You can view the contents of a volume by clicking its icon in Windows Explorer or in My Computer. A single hard disk can have multiple volumes, and volumes can also span multiple disks.use by individual user, each user's utilization of disk space does not affect the disk quotas for other users of the same volume. For example, if Volume F has a quota limit of 500 megabytes (MB) and a user saves 500 megabytes (MB) worth of files to Volume F, that user cannot write additional data to the volume without first deleting or moving some existing files from it. However, each of the other users can continue to save up to 500 MB worth of files on that volume as long as there is sufficient free space. Disk quotas are based on file ownership and are independent of the folder location of the user's files within the volume. For example, if users move their files from one folder to another on the same volume, their volume space usage does not change. However, if users copy their files to a different folder on the same volume, their volume space usage doubles. Or, if another user creates a 200 kilobyte (KB) file and you take ownership of that file, that user's disk use decreases by 200 KB and your disk use increases by 200 KB.
  15. Never used either one of them, so I wouldn't know.
  16. Hi, You can download it HERE. After the download you have to do this: start --> run --> Expand [path of the termsrv.dl_ ]c:\windows\system32\ (for example: expand c:\temp\termsrv.dl_ c:\windows\system32) ENTER And you're done. (you might have to do a restart) Good luck
  17. Well, I'll give it a try ! It sounds interesting, but I wonder in which way I should notice any difference. It would be odd, if this "superfetch feature" would be the bottleneck for your systems speed... But thanks, let's investigate !!
  18. Just a quick Q: Is Thunderbird able to import (or just plain read) *.pst files from Outlook ? If yes, does TB use another fileformat to write its archive to, or does it keep archiving into the PST file ? Cheers !
  19. take a look HERE , it's an overview of all the basic principles about Active Directory. You might find the answer. GPO Operations GPO operations refer to the ability to backup (export), restore, import, and copy GPOs. Backing up a GPO consists of making a copy of GPO data to the file system. Note that the Backup function also serves as the export function for GPOs. Backed up GPOs can be used either in conjunction with Restore or Import operations. Restoring a GPO takes an existing GPO backup and re-instantiates it back in the domain. The purpose of a restore is to reset a specific GPO back to the identical state it was in when it was backed up. This restoration does not include GPO links. This is because the links are a property of the container the GPO is linked to, not the GPO itself. Since a restore operation is specific to a particular GPO, it is based on the GUID and domain of the GPO. Therefore, a restore operation cannot be used to transfer GPOs across domains. Importing a GPO allows you to transfer settings from a backed up GPO to an existing GPO. You can perform this operation within the same domain, across domains, or across forests. This allows for many interesting capabilities such as staging of a test GPO environment in a lab before importing into a production environment. Restoring and Importing a GPO will remove any existing settings already in the target GPO. Only the settings in the backup will be in the GPO when these operations are complete. Copying a GPO is similar to an export/import operation only the GPO is not saved to a file system location first. In addition, a copy operation creates a new GPO as part of the operation, whereas an import uses an existing GPO as its destination.
