Just this morning when I turned on my computer I got a Pri Slave HDD failing error at startup after RAM and drives initialization. Weired thing was that it did recognized both HDD (togheter with the CD/DVD Roms), but got that error. After restart windows XP loaded (the bar that is moving) then logo dissapeared and it remained on a black background not doing anything. Third restart fixed this. What all this mean?

Hey, I would realy like to find a way to listen to online radio while i'm at work or in the car. I got a favorite radio from my home country which I just love to listen. So besides a laptop with wireless internet, what are my other options? can I do this with a PSP? Or a handbookPC (thise little pc's with a pen)?

Got it. Cutted the frame, full processing mode, then re-created it using DivX converter at the same rate. Thanks for all the info rehack

Very well, I understand then that avi can only depend on key frames. As a matter of fact I have made a test, and yes, all other files had a keyframe exactly at the moment I wished to start (fade in on the movie from comercials). And what I have observed, is that only the begining is affected by these keyframes. You can cut the end at any frame you wish, it does not have to be the hole segment from 1 keyframe to the next. But the beggining must start from a keyframe. So what I can say is that I have been lucky that a keyframe has been assigned exactly when the movie began, with the exception of this one. Now the question would be, what factors dictate were a keyframe will be put. As an example on a file the key frames are at frame: 5, 245, 400, 488, etc. So to me it looks pretty random. Can I manualy insert a keyframe so virtual dub can trim from where I wish? Thanks

It is selected as direct stream copy.I have even tried starting from the 36th frame. It is saved as avi. I select with the marker the start of the frame (mark in), then mark out at the end and save as avi. I have done this on 4 files of the same type and they all cut perfectly. This file just won't do it. That is correct. In this file it will only start from the first snaped keyframe, which is frame 81, 3.5 seconds later. But as I said I had edited more than 4 files and on one of them I have not had to snap to any key frame, just place the frame from where I wanted to start, being 20 or 30th frame and it worked like a charm. I do not understand why when I would mark in at any other frame previous to the 81 it would just stream it into an .avi which preserves all the original frames. Another wired thing is that if I try to edit this file, and then I try to edit the file which did worked to remove just the first 20-30 frame it will not work either, it will also require to snap to the first keyframe. But if I restart the computer let's say, and I open directly the file which I managed to cut the first 20-30 frames it will work again to remove just the frames I want. So in the end, why the program won't just remove just the frames I wish?

Hello there. I have a problem with virtualdub trimming. There is this episode from which I have to cut the first 35 frames. The thing is that no matter what I try, they are still there after procesing. I have tried on other files of the same type and encoding, and I could very easely cut the first few 20-30 frames, but there is this particular file which just won't do it. No matter what, even if I cut over a full second it will still be present in the output file. The most closer I could get was to cut the first 4 seconds. What can be rong with this file? why can't I cut the first few frames of this file with virtual dub? It worked on all the others I needed.

I never tried it or used it but I will defenetly do it. All I really would wish to know is 3 things: 1. Is it safe? 2. If I wish can I switch back to my old mode of connecting to internet? 3. If I wish can I uninstall it anytime I wish and just connect to internet while I used to before installing it? Oh and do I have to procide the proxies for him to use or does he has it's own

Hello, I am also trying to achive the same result but I am having some difficulties. I did changed my MAC but it seems that my modem dosen't like that and it won't re-establish a connection unless I have the original MAC which worked until now. I want to thank rootworm for the free proxy list and LLXX for MAC chaning steps. My question would be now. How can I make all my internet programs (such as MMO's clients, games) use the proxies (so the server where I connect recive the proxy IP)? How do I set up the proxies, which for example, can be found on the page rootworm linked. Or how can I reset my IP without changing the MAC (since it seems the IPS service is locked into the MAC) Thank you

Ok, then if the data is preserved then I supose I can just change the extension manualy. Doing this because only a few files needs to be trimmed between many others, and I don't want some of them being divx and some avi. Anyway thanks for letting me know about this program which does his job in what I need. Cheers

Yes I seen but , when you want to save it the only option is "save as AVI". Isn't an option to save as original file, in my case, .divx extension?

I am searching for a software which allows me to edit .divx files and not damage or reduce quality by any means. I have tried adobe premiere but it cannot process the sound and it's very laggy. Any specific program which can edit .divx files?

Well, seems nobody had any solutions, tho I am happy since I have been able to figure it out for myself For anyone interested the problem was that, when I installed MPC on the other machine, it was a newer version. version which displayed the encoding details, while my version from my machine was older, along with the Klite codecs.

Greetings again. I have a short question about the above 2 programs. On my parent computer I had installed the Media Player Classic and the DivX pakage (converter and codec). When I was playing a movie, no matter if it was .avi or .divx, in Media Player Classic, at properties - details - would been the encoding details as well. Right now, on my personal computer, after I installed the DivX pakage (converted and codec) at properties - details - there is no encoding detail. only basic information about the file. In the picture attached bellow, at the arrow location I would have the Encoding details on my parent computer, but as you can see, I don't have it on mine. This is what it should have been at the arrow (an actual example I had have after I converted a file into .divx): Encoding Details: Video: DivX 5 720x544 25.00fps 1550Kbps [Video 0] Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz stereo 128Kbps [Audio 1] The single difference I could think of, is that I have also installed on my parent computer the DivX player (which after I deleted), and also the general codecs, might be different, as on my computer is KLite - an older version - and on my parent computer I do not know. Any ideas?

I am into it and check it out. Ok I have managed to be able to broadcast audio, but at the New Session Wizzard - Broadcast live I only have audio, that being my soundcard, I do not have any video (probably because I would need a TV Tunner?) I wanted to try broadcast a movie I had on my HDD, went to properties, selected the video as well, in configure selecting the Media Player Classic, yet there is no output. There also apear a "start encoding" option, which I dont know what is that for when I actualy want to broadcast. Any further help would be realy appriciated. I will start reading those long manuals as well

I would like to know if there is any program that shows you exactly how much MB's are used on the disk and eventualy clean? I mean, i'm a bit worried I remember I had 4.11 GB free on drive C about 2-3 months ago Now I have 3.92 GB free on drive C + I have uninstalled Adobe Premiere + a couple of small utilitary programs + deactivated the hibernate space (so another 512 mb recovered). So this is about 1 GB lost, somehow, somwere. I did not installed anything new on C. I realy don't want to format because somehow the free space is getting thiner and thiner and I have no idea why. I don't get it. I closed firewall and still cannot transfer files. I have the latest version. And the recipe could transfer. I am very puzzled
