  1. I'm pretty sure it uses cabinet.dll
  2. Site's back up. Thanks for your patience everybody . Now, go get 2.0.7 and see if you can break nLite with it

Just because something is dependent in one direction doesn't mean it is in the other... For example, a car requires oil to be driven. If all the oil in the world disappears, all of those cars which require oil will no longer be drivable. However, if I take away all the oil-dependent cars, does that mean that oil will no longer be necessary? Of course not, because oil is used in many different processes besides cars. Hopefully you can apply this logic to your situation now, since I'm pretty well certain that nLite is working exactly as it should
  4. I've got an urgent support request in. Hopefully they get my site back up QUICK.
  5. I love you tooBTW, I'm more of a turd sandwich than a giant douche EDIT: Oh, and people in my forums have made removal addons for WGA for those who don't like it.
  6. It's been in there since version 2.0.4 (as you could see had you checked the changelog on my site)
  7. BTW, October is when they'll stop releasing security updates for SP1
  8. If I might ask, what exactly is the point of doing this?
  9. PCI-X != PCIe
  10. Like I said before, it is possible with the correct riser and bridge chip. But no, you can't plug a PCIe card directly into a PCI slot.
  11. Send me an email from the address you registered with with your username and I can activate your account for you.
  12. The hotfix for KB883667 fixes the problem
  13. I've seen pictures of adapters, but be warned that it could cause clearance issues. Basically they're a riser card with a male PCIe connector, some circuitry to convert the signal, and a female PCI connector on top.
  14. I'm more than willing to help make sense of it, but I'm not going to rehash the entire unattended guide to do it.
  15. So you think having us explain it here again will magically make more sense? Why don't you ask questions on specific points you're confused on.
  16. It's not a matter of being paranoid, it's a matter of having to change my default settings so that AutoProtect doesn't just delete the file without my permission, which of course become annoying for any other malware that's not CMDOW.
  17. Of course you can. Just rip the CD to your hard drive and follow the directions on the unattended site. You'll need to figure out (either by inspection or by asking your friend) which method your friend used to slipstream the apps, but other than that, you should be fine. http://unattended.msfn.org/
  18. It's a known bug with MU. That's actually the reason that I only slipstream SP2 in my Office 2003 installer. I install all the other patches separately afterwards.
  19. Up to BIOS version 1.D. It changes: NVPXE ROM version 212.0491 to version 215.0503 NVRAID BIOS version 4.84 to version 5.50 Si3114R5 RAID BIOS version 5.2.16 to version 5.3.14 I've tested this on my own Neo4 Platinum (posting from it right now ), and it works perfectly. As always, feedback is welcome! http://www.ryanvm.net/files/Neo4P_1D0.rar (364KB)
  20. I just updated this yesterday to BIOS revision 1.C. <link dead, see below>
  21. I personally use a WinRAR self-extracting EXE which I call from winnt.sif with DetachedProgram to accomplish basically the same goal. Of course, I install the apps from a CD, so my $OEM$ folder mainly consists of a couple small files here and there.
  22. I've got a Thermalright SI-120 on my Opteron 165. It's a beast
  23. 64KB, eh Siggy?
  24. No, that's just the new behavior courtesy of Eolas.
