  1. well, reseated the card, will see hwo it goes now. luckily, the 76GT's dont need a power connection, as theres not one
  2. Ok, ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Randomly, when i reboot, i get no posting, but one long bleep, then 2 short bleeps. I cant find what they mean, and speach posts dont say anything, if hit reset, or turn it off, then back on, it posts fine. Any ideas?
  3. That joke was just "owned" by ripken204.
  4. Remote desktop? Also, just a note, VGA cables can work up2 50ft, I got a 3 year old laptop, sending a signal down a 50t long vga cable to a projector, and works perfect
  5. I know! (mines the AMD Machine! )
  6. lol, like it!
  7. Played it for a bit last nite, SWEEET! FULL detail, and runs like a charm, well impressed. But do agree, the inventory is now crap in comparision to the old one, oh well, acnt have everything Just got one problem when chaging rooms via a door, games blacks out, and i hav to reboot. But if what jago_lfn says, that 84.25 drivers gave him problems, ill try the old ones also, see if that fixes it.
  8. Well, as costs are different depending on where you shop, all in all, for the sytems to make them different, it would be a board, CPU and memory. AMD CPU: £149.17 INTEL CPU: £117.44 AMD Board: £117.44 INTEl Board: £70.44 No price for memory, as they where both bought from different places, but from what I know the INTEL was also cheaper. So if you do the math, the Cheaper Intel setup beat the more expensive AMD setup on the PCMark side, and was only just short on the 3DMark06 score. For me personally, I don't take AMD or INTEL sides. But I will say that performace wise, in price comparison, INTEL won easily...no arguement.
  9. hehe, becomming a vampire was always fun! Will take me a while to complete, as i just love exploring (should arrive in the post today!)
  10. LOL It should run sweet on my 76gt
  11. Another sweet one mr.brownstone
  12. Ordered it on friday, shoud come monday! cant wait!
  13. THE RESULTS: 3DMark06 AMD Machine: SCORE: 3197 SM2.0: 1484 HDR/SM3.0: 1317 CPU: 857 INTEL Machine SCORE: 3170 SM2.0: 1415 HDR/SM3.0: 1302 CPU: 921 PCMark05 AMD Machine: SCORE: 3208 INTEL Machine SCORE: 4293 All test were run 3 times, with only a max of 3 points difference either way, these were the top scores. No overclocking was made, as that would result in an unfair test, we just ran at stock speeds.
  14. I will post results tomorrow, along with the PCMark scores.

    LOL thast ace!
  16. never heard it being refered to as ID
  17. This is a comparison between an intel system and an AMD system, amd have yet to have DDR2 compatible, so this is a test between what the 2 different system CAN do. In one aspect, what a intel system can do, and what an AMD sytem cant do, and visa versa. This isnt an "offical" test, it just so happened we built similar systems and this is the comparison, i knew some people would say..."its different memory" of course it is, its intel!
  18. you say AMD won, so lets say they did beat Intel...by how much?? Also, we will be runnign PCMark on both to see a difference in that.
  19. Ok, I upgraded my comp, and my friend upgraded his, we both have identical specs apart from Processors. Once we had them built we both ran 3DMark 2006 to see the difference. The Rigs: AMD: ASUS A8N-SLi Premium Athlon 64 3700 1MB L2 Cache 2GB Crucial Ballistixs PC4000 XFX nVIDIA 76GT 256MB XXX Edition X2 WD 80GB SATAII RAID0 INTEL: Asus P5ND2 SLi nForce4 SLi Intel Pentium 4 630 "LGA775 Prescott" 3.0GHz (800FSB) with HT 2GB Crucial DDR2 PC4200 XFX nVIDIA 76GT 256MB XXX Edition X2 WD 80GB SATAII RAID0 Both systems running XP PRO SP2, both running identical Drivers, and identical default settings. So, before I post results, who do you think won? Also, what would the difference be, a big difference between the 2, or just a little difference?
  20. I take it your talking about mine? Its my new rig: ASUS A8N-SLI Premium AMD Athlon64 3700 1 MB L2 Cache 2GB Crucial Ballistixs PC4000 XFX nVIDIA Geforce 7600GT 256MB XXX Sound Blaster Audigy 500WATT Antec Modular PSU X2 SATA2 WD 80GB in Raid0 - OS Install X1 SATA WD 200GB - Store X1 External 160GB - Backup DVD-ROM DVD-Writer OTES RAMflow: This is above my memory, as it gets pretty warm with it being Ballistixs, got them from an Abit motherboard. Those Plastic exhaust pipes only come on some cases, I believe it sits above the CPU to help airflow?
