That plug is the EZ-plug, ony needed if im runnign SLi, as it requires mroe power. But i agree with it being software, just gotta see what it is, and if needs be, i will re-install xp.

Crashes, with a bugcheck, i have only seen it happen in Video folders, which file type i cant say. But it does seem to happen wen its trying to create the thumbs for the videos. Come to think of it, some of them are DIVx files, and i did have problems with DIVx 6 before, and installed DIVx 5 again....might try that Any other ideas? Are there any free codec packs that I can install?

Ok, basically, wenever i open a folder that has movie files in, explorer just crashes...tried a reboot, tires just windows exploring it, just crashes, and its not just in My Videos folder in my documents...any ideas?

Heres a new one for ya! lol ok, since my new setup twice now i have had a boot freeze. What happens: Windows will load, the standard windows xp loadign screen, then after it flashes the usb keyboard and mouse off and back on just stops...the animation for the loading bar continues, but windows wont continue to load, i did leave it 3 hours the first time, lol. Now, the first time it happened, i rebooted, turned off, disconnected etc, and nothing, still same. I coudl however boot into safemode, and luckily XPize had made its restore point, an di coudl restore to that point, and it worked, once rebooted, windows loaded fine. Reinstalled XPize and all was good. Now, the second time (10 misn ago), i rebooted, then wanted to go back to see post screen, so pressed Ctrl Alt Del to quick reboot, and then it booted fine....:S Anyone have any ideas?? If you don't know already; specs: AMD64 3700 Asus A8N SLi Premium Crucial Ballistixs 2GB PC4000 nVIDIA 7600GT x2 80GB WD SATA Drives in RAID0 x1 200GB WD SATA 500Watt Modular PSU

bought and installed...working SWEEEET 60FPS in bf2 on FULL detail, goes down to 30fps in combat! COD2, FULL detail! woot! overclocking? dunno yet, the graphcis card is already overclocked running at: Core at 590MHz Memory at 1600MHz

I tried resetting the bios, putting everything back to default speeds, stock everything...yet same problems still occur. the sound card i got is the first audigy, yet i cant see it beign that as the drivers for that are insatlled after windows is installed. also, the board has been iffy for a while, so i might just go for i and go amd64, which i shoudl do really now, with a pci-e card, lookin at the san-diago chip....bye bye savings...lol

hard drive has been there for ages, and same error occrs on all 3 drives individually.... im lookin at new equipment, go amd 64....cost me a bomb, new board, cpu, graphics and PSU!

Well, i would try that, some of it i cant and the setup is EXACTLY the same from about 5 re-installs of XP, aprt from mem upgrade, and new hard drive, and ive tried 3 of them anyway.

Ok, heres the situation: A while back I had BSOD's with memory errors, so i replaced my memory and all was fine....although my old memory passed memtest on different systems as well as my own. So it was working. Then my windows installation was goin funny, and i wanted a format and to upgrade to x2 80GB drives in RAID0 Setup my RAID0 Install winxp with nLITE CD....BSOD's....thoguht it was my CD, so tried original....same errors Errors are mixed memory errors and read errors. So my theory is my board has died and gone to heaven...any other ideas? SPECS: ASUS A7N8X-DELUXE ATHLON XP Barton 3200XP 2Gigs Ballistix memory x2 WD 80GB RAID0 66GT Audigy Sound Now i did run memtest, and did get a 4 errors at 1613.1MB - But this could be down o the board and my tight memory timings etc, which have ALWAYS been there. It could also be i guess my CPU...but i have no way of testing them elsewhere.

Yeh, i had problems with the card wen i first had it, i had to change the boot sequence from SATA, SCSI, to SCSI, SATA Weird, lol just gtta get my widnows install workign now!

I took the card out, and it all worked, booted into windows set up no probs (havin probs with setup, in nLITE forums! lol) Im hoping that wen windows is installed i can put the card back in and it will work...im guessing its a conflict during setup boot.

Ok, so Ive finally set up my Raid on my ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board RAID0 with x2 WD 80GB Set the RAID up no probs. Also in my system I hae installed a Multi IO card, ith USB's, one IDE channel, and one SATA channel. On the SATA channel i have my old 200GB WD attached (which was my old main drive) Now, when i connect the 200GB to the IO card, after it detects, and tries to boot from cdrom, it freezs... Disconnect the drive from the IO card and it boots to windows set-up no probs. So, faulty IO card? yet it does detect the drive on sata detection. Or does my system not support 3 SATA drives??? Any ideas?

cant see a prob with thats, just looks standard...
