i Would suggest you delete your icon catch once , you shall find it in the user profile folder, local settings, apllication data , microsoft. after that if it does not change , reload file type icons again. And try to repair the icon catch using MS tweakui.

In administrative tools , computer management, Disk management. Rite click the disk and change drive letter. Also if you remove the drive letter , the file system will remain intact but that drive wont show up in this windows installation!! so hide it!!

No we can have this as a better thread for discussion. How many of you are in? I got my gfs id in though the leaked link on the net. Looked pretty clean and simple.Have not explored compleely but wht i saw was looking promising and simple. What are your thoughts?

Noticed a few things on the front page. Why is Windows xp sp2 rtm kept in the MS beta update? Windows update 4? hasnt 6 come and evolved to the next level no mention of microsoft update!!!! and the bootvis has been discontinued from mircosoft. the page redirects to WHDC homepage.

i still believe that on a MICROSOFT SOTWARE DISCUSSION FORUM a seperate spce for linux and all is not accounted for. but personally i feel MSFN should expand now . we are a tech forum and need to cover all the technologies present.

the whole "live" stuff IE beta and all. Nearly every other forum has got a beta sub forum. well i asked for it because since we being specially microsoft forum , it needs a special place. otherwise it shall obviuosly be your say...

guyz installed nlited windows with all the updates. Now whenever i open hotmail on IE the windows closes after a second. I have also xpized my windows. I use MS antispyware and Spybot SD. Can anyone help me how to solve this problem?

But for xpize we do not even need all that bat file and inf file stuff. Xpize reads some particular switches as we all know. So if we let the user select the switches using a simple check box screen and add xpize to the svcpack.inf along with those switches , bang we have got xpize running after the setup. i hope what i said is possible?

That is why i started this thread. It would be nice i guess if we let the user decide wether he wants to patch the i386 files or wether he wants xpize to run automatically through the svcpack method. Although i do not know but i guess that if you could create a simple check list where the uer can check the switches he wants , it would be awsome. that way he can choose the various options like run silently , what all to patch and the other available switches. I think since most of the files have been patched , this could be a major new feature for the next version!!

seems to be a problem of corrup zip file. Redownload. try a few times. no one else seems to have had this problem.

I would rather believe it is due to the colour combination of your theme. Xpize just replaces the icons and resources.

what i meant was this. a blue background with a little glossy look. I hope you are understanding what the glossy look is like. on that XP in white plain colours and ize in silver. again little shiny n glossy silver. the SkillTill one is on the lines., but the glossy look is not there and not square. ofcourse this may look pretty simple but i do not like those flasshy red green n all!!1

my guess is that 128 x 128 requirs a little more memory. but using the lite pack wont affect the speed. @xpero is the option to select only the icon size which you want?

Where is this option. I am using Xpize 4.2 beta 2 lite When i choose patch the source and select the source as soon as i click next it starts patching. Did not see this option anywhere it is not in the normal installation i guess also i thought that giving the user the options to choose his customizations using the switches , whichever are present currently would be cool. and my main concern is retaining the original files so that one has got the option to uninstall.
