  1. Windows Update for Xp x64 edition and W2k3 I found a new opportunity. Cr to @whenever by Tuopf https://www.prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2172. This version of ProxhttpsProxy creates a Sha1 certificate and is compatible with most Windows versions. With this version of ProxhttpsProxy, it is possible to update Windows Server 2003 (not tested) and Win Xp x64 edition. IE6 is sufficient. download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ftq6dnsccuq54p4/ProxHTTPSProxyMII_1.3a.zip/file WU-patch: http://www.mediafire.com/file/1ontv0vkh0ghfbi/Restore_WU_XP_2003.7z/file I have already edited the Config.ini so that you can work directly with ProxhttpsProxy. When opening ProxhttpsProxy a new certificate is generated. This certificate must be stored in the local computer's trusted certificate store. Make sure TLS 1.0 and Http 1.1 is enabled via proxy and the Windows Update patch is installed! It works without additional updates! It is also suitable if the CPU does not support SSE2. @AstroSkipper What do you say? Is it a good option?
  2. Yes. Unfortunately, ProxhttpsProxy v1.3 cannot be opened in W2k either. I have ProxhttpsPoxy running outside my vm. That's why it works. To open it directly in W2k we need an even older version of ProxhttpsProxy.
  3. Unfortunately not. When searching I get error 0x80244018 and when calling the endpoint I get Access is Denied.
  4. I get this error on all websites. Which config.ini are you using?
  5. I can't find the download link. Can you send it to me via PM? Edit: Found it!
  6. OK. I asked if ProxhttpsProxy version 1.1 was still available for download. Maybe then it will work. By the way, I updated the Proxomitron certificate and now the error is 0x80072F06. https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2172 I installed everything that is needed.
  7. @xpandvistafan I found a compatible ProxhttpsProxy version running on W2k without extended kernel. Unfortunately I get the error code 0x80072F05. Another problem is that the SHA1 certificate expired in 2010. Link to ProxhttpsProxy: https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1618
  8. Correct. It would be an alternative when the CPU does not support SSE2. Nevertheless, I recommend the variant of @AstroSkipper .Unfortunately it currently only works with Windows Update and not Microsoft Update as there is no patched file for it yet. I have already informed the author about this.
  9. The creator posted it in the wrong topic but it's for Xp.
  10. I correct: I tried this method now and it works perfectly. You don't even need ProxhttpsProxy! It even works with IE6! Without additional updates. @WULover Try that.
  11. A user on mdl found another way to access the page: Restore Windows Update for Vista I haven't tried it yet.
  12. @WinFX Is it possible to save the v6 site? It is still fully available.
  13. Hi everybody, My host system is Windows 10 and I have 3 VMs running. I want to run the proxy outside the vms so as not to have to open the proxy inside the vms. Is that possible? My 3 vms are windows xp, 2000 and 7.
  14. Thanks for the hint. I couldn't think of the word.
  15. It is intended to be a general guide as the Activex control for Microsoft Update doesn't work automatic download anymore. It´s for all users.
  16. A guide to install Microsoft Update manually Here is a complete guide to install Microsoft Update in Xp: First you need to download these files: http://download.windowsupdate.com/v9/microsoftupdate/a/selfupdate/WSUS3/x86/Other/mucltui.cab http://download.windowsupdate.com/v9/microsoftupdate/a/selfupdate/WSUS3/x86/Other/mucltui_en.cab http://download.windowsupdate.com/v9/microsoftupdate/a/selfupdate/WSUS3/x86/Other/muweb.cab Replace at mucltui_en.cab with your language. For example: mucltui_de.cab for German. Open the archives. Copy muweb.dll from the archive muweb.cab to system32. Copy mucltui.dll from the archive mucltui.cab to system32. Copy mucltui.dll.mui_? from the archive mucltui_? to system32. Register only the 2 files muweb.dll and mucltui.dll with regsvr32. Configure IE: Add the pages http://update.microsoft.com http://www.update.microsoft.com and https://www.update.microsoft.com to the Trusted Sites and set the security level to high. If it is not available, click Reset first. Call up this page now and follow the instructions: http://fe2.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en If the Check for Updates button doesn´t work, close IE and click on Microsoft Update in the start menu. Don´t forget! You need httpsproxy or ProxhttpsProxy otherwise you will get error 0x80072EFF! Only tested under XP! Have fun trying.
  17. That would be great. But where can we download it?
  18. I haven't found a way to update Xp via IE6 yet.
  19. Tls 1.2 can only be added in Internet Explorer 8.
  20. No. In Windows 2000 it only works with the extended kernel because Tls 1.2 is required. So you need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 and install the necessary updates.
