I already knew that. I was able to activate my Xp with current root certificates and Tls 1.2 even without httpsproxy.

I added the proxy settings from httpsproxy to winhttp. Now the error is 0x80096010.

As far as I can remember, the yellow shield only appeared after I checked for updates via the website for the first time. As you already know I only use httpsproxy.

I also get the error. Nevertheless, automatic updates work.

@cc333 Normally you need these updates to fix the error. But I don't know if it works in W2k3.

You added the wrong pages! You added www.microsoft.update.com. This page does not exist! Correct the settings.

Try to use http and not https. If it does not work, try this page: http://fe2.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en&g_sconsumersite And replace the config file.

Automatic Updates works fine for me with httpsproxy. I also can see the yellow shield in the taskbar.

It never worked without Tls 1.2. PS. I was able to go to fe2.ws.microsoft.com but I keep getting error 0x800C0002 on that page. Maybe. It didn't always work. It was luck.

Too bad. I'm still wondering how I got it to work without a proxy for a short time in December.

As soon as you delete the certificate in the ProxhttpsProxy folder and open the program again, a new one will be generated.

Hi there, I installed 3 Vm's. I would run the program in my host system so the program doesn't have to run inside the vm. My host system is Windows 10. Are there any options?
