part of my series (state of windows)

as one of the most powerfull versions of windows server is what has kept older windows versions going (like server 2008 for windows vista and server 2012 for windows 8) and has helped in continuing to support legacy windows version for years so my question is will windows server still be usefully in 2023-beyond?

has anyone gotten minecraft to work fully in windows vista yet? I know @k4sum1 was working on porting java over to windows xp/vista at one point but the past two year there's been nothing on it has the project been scrapped? if anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated

thanks @msfntor I'm fine it's just kind of cold here in the 20s and there predicting a wintery mix here tomorrow so the weather is a little bit down right now (were also under a winter storm warning now) also the city I live in just declared schools closed citywide at least we still have power

the way it is here alot of the stuff there doing everywhere else in america is being reversed recently

from my experience of using the 4000 on xp (on my old e6430) it worked really well for up to 1.16 and got at least 60fps on max settings so it is possible to do you just have to do some adjusting and it should work

ive had issues like this before with older browsers the fix for the issue was to install roytam1s ffmpeg fix for firefox and it seemed to of fixed the problem (at least for me it did)

ive been testing microsoft edge for a while now and it seems like a good option for chrome based browsers at least in my research on it and it works well on pretty much everything so I would definitely suggest doing some more researching into edges capabilities on older windows versions to see if its possible to backport never version of it to legacy windows

I have one of those old atari flashback consoles with the built in games and it's not very good the controllers stopped working as well

im working on installing windows 11 with windows 10 (on separate Drives) and I was wondering what the best options would be to disable telemetry if anyone could help me with this it would be much appreciated

(update for 2023) I now have a new desktop (an hp elite 8300) I'm now using as my new desktop (with windows 10 on it) as my e6430 died last year and I needed something more powerful for game development. (my new hobby)

I'm thinking of installing linux mint next to windows 10 for testing purposes and was wondering what the best way to do this would be (I plan to install it after windows 10) ive never done this with a desktop before qnd would like to know the right was to do it without ruining anything (the hdd is a 500gb wd blue) if anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated

wish I could get my wi-fi to work that well my pc came without a wifi card so I have to use an adapter that can only do 2G its really slow

I'm mostly on eclipse now with alot of my big topics moved over there i also joined the linus tech tips forum and have done stuff there for awhile
