Dear magicians , please tell me how do you all play modern games on Win 7 ? On that last 471 driver from almost 2 years ago ? lol Also, how do you play DX12 ? I'm not mocking (though I could, definitely) , it's a serious question. Maybe someone already ported the drivers ? What is the current one 537 ? I have a DX12 card and it's shown as DX11 on Win 7, thanks.

Sorry I don't agree. And you edited the original post again and changed everything !

I have no reason not beleive you, especially when you just confirmed what I wrote before, yes older kaby-lake work with Win 7, and your CPU is the first one from 5 years ago. BTW , does your standby mode works ? Could your PC enter the sleep mode ?

Removing my reply, reconsidered.

If you didn't like the video, here's a link for you . The most important Single Core Speed (D3DRAW calls) is 126 Pts vs 154 Pts https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-12600KF-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-5800X3D/m1700734vsm1817839 50 bucks G6600 Release date ≈ Q2 2020. Runs on el-cheapo crappy board with aluminum (free) heatsink and 200W PSU. 320USD "official" and real street price is 450 USD - 5800X3D "AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU will be available April 20th for $449" https://www.engadget.com/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d-release-date-price-144017796.html Release date ≈ April 2022. Plus a gazillion bucks PSU and an expensive cooler for it. Oh yeah, definitely worth it, only to able to run Win 7. I'm sure the OP (who was struggling to purchase GTX750) will honour your advice " AMD never ceases to amaze me.

I run even more older environments than all of you combined together ! But facts are facts, and when someone wants to enter an argument (I mean, a good healthy argument for the sakes of finding a solution, not a scandalous or trolling like they want it to be), one needs to provide links and confirmed technical aspects , this is what MSFN is for ! Sources like "trust me bro" are no good, being a mature male, you gotta understand this, no ?

Oh , I see , you the mean the "new" elite line of AMD CPU that barely catches up with the cheap as dirt Pentium from Q2 2020. Thanks, of course I'll consider it along with the 1800 watt PSU and a huge copper cooler and extra huge ATX case. All fot Windows 7 support with both hands ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LE8galqW2o

Care to explain your off-topic (and now offensive) posts that contain no actual links and written in the style "someone, somewhere, I said so". How about, for starters, I see you're an AMD fan, so please provide the OP with AMD video drivers from this year, thanks.

The First BIOS update release was issued on 2018/06/27, so looks like you lost in time, and I completely understand, time flies. And it's not the first B450 Mobo. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios

Why would I read an article from early 2017 for such obsolete hardware ? We shall have 2023 in a couple of weeks. I don't know people who would voluntarily purchase a 6 years old laptop just to be able (possibly, without any hard proof) use Win 7. From what I know, that trick worked only for some early Kaby-lake models.

Well, I unpacked the GT1030 and tried it ... well to say I'm not satisfied - is to simply say nothing. The picture has purplish (reddish) tint , like on the American NTSC standard with purple faces, like on VHS/DVDs. Is it supposed to be this way ? I don't know. The 10-bit colour setting doesn't work, it leads to a blank balck screen.

Vista and 7 are currently at the same level of Chrome, so I'd say , you'd be quite fine up to at least May-June.
-
I like @win32's approach. He knows what he does. There's no need to add literally every crap the higher numbered OSes have, only need to add the ones that demanded to start a given app. I'm sorry you got rejected.
-
This is no surprising since it's based on Chrome, all chrome-based browsers had dropped Win 7 - 8, 8/1. It's a fact, no matter how painful it might be for the fans of these systems.

SpellForce post from ~3 weeks ago, sorry I missed it ! Write me via PMs, if they don't want your posts here, I'll help. @Dave-H, my opinion: SpellForce is quite on-topic, since it's officially supported on Vanilla Win 98. https://www.sysrequirements.com/game/spellforce#minimum-requirements

They key word here is "someone". And I can not confirm this. So no hardware for win 7 exists. No drivers from the official Intel link also. All of that hardware devices you say, will obviously work with with win 7, simply because they are from its era. But hardware that would still make sense to use (no older than 6 years) - doesn't , and it's official.
-
Still no @XPerceniol here ?!
-
One could also do just fine without many members saying "how wonderful Windows 7 is because it still gets the ESU updates ", and no one obvioulsy has a licence for them, but they advice to use them for "free" with the help of a patch and even tell where to find it, but seems like everyone is fine with this ! But yeah , these free certificates are the problem, sure !
-
Debatable ! So you trust that russian application starter used by the member Notheretoplaygames and it comes from where ? Yes, unknown sources. Also, you think a 2mb application for updating them is safer than these pure certificates ? This is all debatable, to say the least. I used his certificates for all this time and noticed no odd behaviour.
-
But why ? The certs are working fine and in a good condition, I checked myself. Many thanks for your hard work , @legacyfan !

Grab while you still can , just in case.

@win32, hi, so I bought that pile of garbage we were discussing a while back, I mean G1030, it was on pre New Year sale. So now I can test Pascal drivers, would you be interested to join ? I'll not be mad if not, 'cause I bought it only out of boredom, just for fun. I chose the fastest SC version with GDDR5. If one could call that thing "fastest". xD I mean compared to the usual GT1030 with GDDR4 memory.
