Seriously ? 1/2tb drives , it's almost 2022 ! Well , if you collect 360p then I guess it's fine. I have 6TB additional drive on my main PC and I can't squeese my own videos from the camera onto it . I wouldn't purchase anything smaller than 8-10TB these days. I need a new drive ASAP.

I've been meaning to ask , are there any alternatives to YT . Preferably without the need to log in , as I heard some rumours , yotube will soon force everyone to be logged-in , like they did with instagram, thank you .

I just did that and it blocks certain functions , for example I can't put likes to your posts anymore . It says something like "sorry , this function is not availalble at the moment".

@IXOYE is right , I have the same problem . It reverts back to the russian or chinese squares . Dixel's method works , but it can revert back again sometimes . @NotHereToPlayGames , any way to hardcode it into the browser ?

No , they don't . Please , try yourself. First off , they will whine about "locale not found" , but even if you'll able to install , they will pretend they work when the actually don't. Also , most are auto-switched OFF after you restart your browser. Let's say you try any well-known ad-blocker .

Tripredacus, the file is there , in the location you named , and not only there , it's scattered across all of the system , including winsxs and filerepository folder (several of them) . I'm guessing from different updates I installed before this bloody one. I don't care about this testing system at all , there's nothing important there , but I'm just curious what could cause this , since I didn't use any third party tools , I just rebooted , like Windows told me. It won't let me pass this warning . Safe mode also doesn't allow me to boot the OS . It constantly says , no HAL.dll found . It won't let me choose repair or restore the system from the original media. I'm guessing HAL.dll is a very important file . It was included inside this bloody update. But there's just no way to install it again . And even if it would be possible , it makes no sense , like I said , the update gave me troubles. Thank you for the advice.

Says who ? Did you try to do it yourself ? I tried , it works , because all needed files are already inside , ask win32 to open it and check. I shall tell you more , I tried to install Nvidia HD driver from 2021 and Vista said it is not signed , but right after I installed the aforementioned update , it let me proceed with the installation ! So it includes SHA2 too ?! (I'm not sure , I'm just guessing here). So don't go attacking me again , please . Hello , I have a damaged OS with this issue , just like you described ! I uninstalled a terrible update that gave me troubles , rebooted ... and now windows says "hal.dll is missing" , which is not true , because I have lots of them in the right locations (I compared with another Vista) , the only difference is the name of the folders where this file located (in winsxs folder, others are OK). It's not my main OS , it's for testing only , is this OS lost ? I'm just curios , thank you ! I tried to repair with the original disk , but it won't start the repair , it only suggests me to install Vista again in "emergency enabled" ?! mode or smth like that , I don't remember the exact name . The most important , it doesn't let me choose the repair option.

Before you put another label , I suggest to try it yourself . I still don't know if I'm ready to use every day , though . Thanks , now this function works OK. But I tested your "ungoogled" version and it's absolutely not ungoogled . It makes all of the connections that other chrome browsers usually do. Take a look at the screencapture made with a clean profile at the startup . Yes , I renamed the executable from 360chrome.exe to just chrome.exe and in the ini file too. I think calling it "ungoogled" is wrong and misleading . It's pretty far fetched . Should be something "made some attempts to reduce google connections" or smth like that.

Narrowed down to the dreaded defender . I deleted it from the ISO (before the install) , installed this update again , no errors since. Fake ? Well , I'm not the ony one who had reported the same . Hi , so I tracked down Xaudio files that are needed for the game . XAudio2_7.dll needs to be in sysWoW64 and in sys32 (both) for it to work . But it doesn't want to play sound without the registry entries , in other words , it wants it to be installed . Will you help me to force the game to use them locally ? Thank you.

I have three questions though . 1 - What was done to block broadcasting on mdns port 5353 ? 2 - Why can't I see cert. info , if I press on the padlock ? No popup window follows. 3 - Is there any way to remove qr code abomination popup ? 4 - Bonus question : if I open settings and press "inspect" , I see strings in russian language , is it supposed to be so ?
