Absolutely agree, I sometimes also mix with an older PowerDVD 16 version, newer are simply terrible. Did you notice MPC-HC keeps getting brighter and brighter? And it's not as sharp as it used to be.

Well, this topic "win7-browsers-video-colour-range-stutter" doesn't specify Firefox only, try to switch to chrome then?

I guess 3.5 would be enough since he wanted 3.2. -

You can! I think @UCyborgported rufus to Vista, I'm sorry, I don't remember which version exactly as I don't use it, but I tried out of curiosity and it worked. Ask him for the links. -
I'm chill and quite relaxed, thanks for your worries. I'm staying here seeking purely technological experience (which is getting harder and harder with each day), I don't want to discuss politics, off-topic matters, my personality, my posts from several years ago, rumours, etc, I don't want to be screamed at in CAPSLOCK. (against the rules!) That word wasn't quoted in your original post, so no. Also, I'm not interested in your opinion regarding the site moderation, besides, discussing it in public is indeed against the rules. I gave you a polite hint - I want to be left alone, yet you don't listen. I'm tired of your want-to-be-moderator fantasies. Let's ask @Tripredacus what "has to be" a violation or hasn't. Back on-topic: With your posts you give a very good example of how people shouldn't behave themselves when posting.

Yes, do that, then buy a dedicated PCI_E usb converter (a small board) that has official drivers for USB3 for Vista. Despite my "mental insanity" it works pretty well with my Haswell mobo. I have 100% working USB3.1 ports. -

I run 32-bit Vista Sp1 on a Haswell machine, I'd gladly run 64-bit, but alas, so: according to you it makes me mentally insane, wow. -

Oh, and I'm not aware of fully functional USB3.1 drivers, all of that I had tried here had issues, various issues, You'd better buy a dedicated USB card that supports Vista. Splitters may or may not work. -

What is your Vista? 32 or 64bit? 64bit won't work with anything starting with Haswell normally, not only due to USB3.1 issue. There was a post claiming RTM to be more stable. -
Me posting in general or any other section doesn't automatically mean I'm aware of the whole topic/subject. I can reply to a post as if it was a standalone matter. You not even knowing those browsers' names kind of tells a lot. I remember you wrote you couldn't even access your utilities website with them, so what's the point? I didn't know messing with other people was allowed on the forum. I already got several stalkers/weirdos (check my account every minute), guess now I'll be adding someone who messes with me to the collection.

ClearType is easily switched off in Vista, so you will see identical fonts as if you were on XP, this is not the case with Windows 7, the fonts will still be blurry no matter what you do. Windows 7 renders everything blurry and bluish, mp4 videos, any film you watch on windows 7 looks awful. I don't know about Win10, I guess your driver there is different?

Never heard of those, AstroSkipper thank you for letting us know!

You're not the only one who is not satisfied with chromium/windows7 fonts, look here. ""So the year is 2023 and MS Edge still seems to be the only Chromium-based browser that follows Windows settings for font-rendering..."" https://msfn.org/board/topic/185877-changing-sk_gamma_contrast-without-recompiling-chromium/

Try to experiment with different drivers, but the whole 1000 generation is very bright (it's how their BIOS is written). I returned 1080ti back to the shop, it was too bright and washed out. https://msfn.org/board/topic/185912-should-i-get-a-gtx-1080ti-or-a-gtx-titan-x-pascal-for-vista/?do=findComment&comment=1255575

Should I get a GTX 1080ti or a GTX Titan X Pascal for vista?
Dixel replied to Aiek's topic in Windows Vista
Oh, I see Titan XP is more for scientists, doesn't look like a gaming card to me, among all those evils you made the right choice!
