Panda Dome free delays startup to 16+ minutes
FelixPls1 replied to FelixPls1's topic in Windows Vista
Alrighty, funniest thing happened... twice: BOTH the computers are booting like normal, despite Panda Dome still being installed on them. The only thing I've done was downloaded all the Visual C++ runtimes supported for Windows XP and Vista, maybe that did it? -

I also dug out another laptop of mine that's been unused for a while (Dell Latitude D630, Windows XP sp3, Intel Centrino). I installed the same exact version of Panda Dome on it, and it boots up like normal; no delay whatsoever. -

I removed the custom theme patcher, and the laptop still takes 16+ minutes to get to the desktop. On the Windows XP desktop, the same thing happens, yet I don't have any custom theme patcher installed there -

here ntbtlog.txt -
Hi, it's me again, Anyways, I installed Panda Dome free 22.03.00 on my Windows Vista laptop, and ever since it's taken up to 16 minutes from when I press the power button until everything's fully loaded (explorer.exe, gadgets, etc.) When I log in to my account, it shows the "welcome" screen for 1.5 minutes, and then takes me to a black screen with a cursor, for around 3 minutes, and then the taskbar loads, then later everything finally loads However, I uninstalled Panda Dome, and the computer boots like normal. The pc is a Lenovo Thinkpad x220 Tablet with Windows Vista Ultimate sp2 build 6003; Intel Core i7 2640M (Sandy Bridge), Intel HD Graphics 3000, 12 GB RAM I tested this on another computer with Windows XP, and the same exact thing happened; 16ish minutes until the desktop was fully loaded.

Windows Vista showing light blue screen with cursor after logging in
FelixPls1 replied to FelixPls1's topic in Windows Vista
oh sorry. The laptop is a Dell XPS m1710 with an Intel Core Duo and NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX, Vista version is Ultimate sp2 build 6002 I'm not really sure what the .net version is, but the error log says "4.8.4320.0" -
I recently triple booted my windows xp laptop with vista and 10, and now whenever I boot into Vista, it loads, but after I log in, it shows a blue screen (like the default wallpaper in windows 2000) with a cursor, i can do ctrl + alt +del, but nothing else works. A popup always appears saying ".net runtime optimization service has stopped working" Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

Well I think the disk is the problem, on HDD Sentinel, the disk activity is very high
-
The computer runs fine in safe mode, but that's about all I checked It even says 100% when I boot it up normally When I try to scan, it says "Drive not found or doesn't support LBA mode"
-
I ran the computer in safe mode, and then downloaded HDD Sentinel, and it says the performance and health is 100%.

I have a Dell Optiplex GX520, and it's been very slow lately. In fact, it's been even slower after installing a pc cleaner. Firefox at least takes 10 minutes to load, sounds are delayed, and these pc cleaners aren't helping!

ClamWin slows down my computer, and it takes forever to scan, in fact, it stays stuck on the "loading signature database" screen -
