    Agreed! Agreed! Agreed! I had this problem (ression restore broken but only with a specific "Photonic" theme) in Serpent 52. Photonic theme should not break the session restore feature of Serpent 52 - but it DOES in "newer" versions of Serpent 52. I have opted to intentionally leave my Serpent 52 at 2023-07-31 because session restore WORKS in that version, regardless of what extensions or themes I throw at it. 2023-07-31 became my "end of the line" for Serpent 52. Use it DAILY for text messaging. My XP (Acer Aspire One POS) has had to resort to Mypal 68 but even it hasn't exactly restored "life" to that POS. So YEAH, I'm glad that you have found "more" because when I cited my Photonic theme breaking session restore, that discussion only "ended" in folks citing that session restore works in newer Serpent 52 without any extensions (duh, that wasn't the issue).

    Not true. But read/interpret what you want. That is basically what Roytam said. I wonder if it came across as an "angry disposition"?

    I basically asked the same thing many many months ago. Bottom line, it isn't, and even Roytam agrees that it isn't. But some people think that since their computer is x64, then "everything" on it should also be x64. "To each their own", of course.

    Interesting! But for me, that last clip isn't a suggested clip but rather it is part of the playlist. So I suspect your suggested list just repeated an item already in the playlist. But yes, auto-play does "initiate" to play the next SUGGESTION, but the loop button kicks in and reverts to "track 1" instead. However, in my test-case, it didn't "initiate" to play the "very next" SUGGESTION, but it started to play Suggestion #3 but the loop-to-track-1 does work.

    <OT but since YT is hot topic at moment> Does anyone know of a script that REPEATS the same play list over and over? If there are 10 songs in the list, go back to "track 1" after "track 10" is played INSTEAD OF YouTube going to the "next" playlist?

    I'm quite convinced that YouTube will "survive" just fine if half a million users jump through hoops to go AD-FREE.

    I hear ya. YouTube has been on a TERROR for the last six months or so in regards to not allowing ad-blockers. I've changed combinations of extensions three or four times this year all on account of YouTube ads. I can only laugh at myself because until I became an MSFN member, I was never a YouTube user. I used to burn my own cd's, upload to Dropbox or Google Drive, and play those at work. Nowadays, I do use YouTube - and yeah, it's like a "second job" just to keep up with tweaking it, lol. My config plays YouTube AD-FREE !!! And yeah, "Hello YouTube, if you are listening", IT WILL STAY THAT WAY !!! "Challenge Accepted!"

    Thanks, good catch. I posted that during my morning breakfast-time just before leaving for work. That's actually another reason for me to *NOT* want to use this as a default config. I want my tweaks and edits "locally owned and operated".

    I've abandoned this already for here at work. It is extremely advantageous for all users to have alternatives (especially the "pre-10" folks). But for Win10, I cannot bring myself to using anything Mozilla-based. Everyone is going to have their own pros and cons, of course. The Turbo Launcher seems to work (missing some menu on/off buttons but did not track down root cause) even for Chromium-based, but still "not for me" and I prefer the *regular ol' YouTube* with my regular ol' YouTube fixes. We can definitely ALL AGREE that YouTube without any fixes or extensions or user scripts or user styles is garbage, lol.

    And I shouldn't "tempt fate", but it appears that Turbo Launcher also means I no longer need ad-blockers on YouTube. The real test will be at work. Which will also be the test for "are you still here" auto-pause.

    Working perfectly! I erased yesterday's VORAPIS profile with the MILE LONG script as a FAILURE. Yes, it "works", for the most part, but not really interested in adding 4400 to 6500 lines of javascript code! Started all over this morning with just GreaseMonkey and this much simpler Turbo Launcher. Liking it so far and no crashes at 30 to 40 seconds (and the annotation is blocked where it is not with the MILE LONG version). I'm a bit confused (until I have more time to dig deeper). It appears that this very simple Turbo Launcher does the same EXACT thing as the MILE LONG VORAPIS SCRIPT. Why would ANYONE use the MILE LONG version if this does the same exact thing?

    Same here. I've been experimenting with that VORAPIS script and ran the "one-liner" through some online .js "cleaners". They don't edit the script, just convert it from one MILE LONG line of code and put line breaks without breaking the .js functionality. That "dang" thing is 4400 to 6500 lines long !!! Depending on if you allow the closing brackets to be on its own line. There are HUNDREDS of lines of code that are not needed if you only ever use YouTube for ONE LANGUAGE. Be careful what you use for editing this .js because it is writting in both "left to right" and "right to left" languages. It's been a cool "hobby project" for the day. As is, it allows annotations and the best I can determine for any video that CRASHES when using VORAPIS is that the videos use the old style of "annotations" that I didn't even know still existed (my profile blocks them).

    Though I am also not "too proud" to admit that this recent comparison has revealed something. While UXP takes MUCH higher CPU to stream some background music, the video quality is MUCH better in UXP (and I have to assume non-UXP Mozilla). I could *probably* jump through the correct hoops to get the same video quality in Chomium-based. But I really have NO USE for watching videos on YouTube in ANY browser. I do have a use for BACKGROUND NOISE and for that, I don't need to kill my CPU.

    I am perfectly aware that MSFN is "only" for XP and Vista users, but it is still "fair game" to compare these UXP "improvements" to what we Win10 users see with "better browsers". The above CPU and RAM is Serpent 52 on the same EXACT computer as the below "non-UXP". Pretty much any-and-all YouTube content plays for me at UNDER ONE PERCENT CPU WITHOUT HARDWARE ACCELERATION and plays as a background tab my entire work day.

    First video stopped after a few seconds with an error. And always always always crashes for THIS video (anywhere between 30 to 40 second mark) -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiW7NbkhbJ0&list=PL2ZucxOJLzfVRTHxcWt5TjQ2ZCRNjc6TM&index=1 But every video since seems to be working with much less CPU and RAM. So yeah, I'll keep it ARCHIVED. But still will "most likely" not be using UXP for YouTube. But yes, VORAPIS is a "keeper" for those that do YT on UXP. Aside from the CRASH and unknown if that CRASH will be an "everyday occurrence". Other videos play five seconds or so THEN START ALL OVER AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING, playing those five seconds over again and then continuing. Nope, not enough for me to be using this as my "default".

    AGREED! I don't use any UXP browser for YouTube. But I'm bored this morning so I'll run a few comparisons just to pass the time.

    This is Serpent 52 playing one YouTube tab without VORAPIS. Will take me a little while to get the profile up-and-running with VORAPIS for a comparison. Again, I am skeptic and admit that fully right up front. But I am also a no gut feelings sort of guy and FOLLOW THE NUMBERS. Let's see what those NUMBERS tell us.

    Thanks, just downloaded. I fully disclose and admit right up front that I am SKEPTIC that this VORAPIS script is really worth the hassle. But I won't mind being proven wrong, lol. Just upgraded my bare-bones Serpent 52 to the latest-and-greatest. I am still using x86 Serpent 52 on an x64 machine, which I have recently discovered is not exactly ideal.

    I may dig deeper tomorrow. I do admit that I have not (yet?) tried vorapis. edit - I kind of have no use to YouTube (or any type of audio/video streaming) in UXP or even modern Mozilla. But yeah, I suppose vorapis "might" change that. Can't claim to have read enough here to make me see it as a godsend. I guess I'd have to try it for myself to really witness any benefits (or non-benefits).

    Under what combination of added extensions/scripts? My bare-bones Serpent 52 (only mod is replacing the "dragon" icon) *works* as far as YouTube search box suggestions. Though my Serpent 52 is intentionally stuck at 2023-07-31. I cite this in case THAT may be the issue, that newer versions of Serpent 52 may have accidentally broken YouTube search box suggestions.
