Well out of curiosity, i've installed Windows 7 on my spare hdd. COD then launched normally. I even played 2 games and everything was smooth. I really hope that someone will figure this out

That's true. It is one of the best pieces of software I have ever dealt with.

I don't think that the digital signature did anything. The game only shows mouse cursor and then it crashes. With the D3D12 on vulkan the game shows Direct x encountered an urecoverable error.

So basically my main pc with ryzen 5 1600 and rtx 2060 is running on Windows 8.1. Microsoft for some idiotic reason only ported d3d12 libraries on windows 7, but I dont see anything preventing these libraries running under Windows 8.1 yet even compatibility mode does absolutely nothing and games using these libraries simply wont start. (My test game is COD WARZONE). Is there any hope of getting these games to run on windows 8.1?

Then I wonder, why the hell did they not list it on their website?

Thank you for your informations. I actually did pretty random thing and installed elan driver (despite tha laptop having synaptics touchpad). And the scrolling started working and I have configuration utility for more gestures. So if anyone has simmilar problem, you can try to install random drivers I guess?

i'm joining this conversation, i too have 8th gen laptop. I successfuly downgraded to Windows 8.1. Touchpad works, but two finger scroll does not. Any way to fix that problem too? (Dell inspiron 3583)

back in april this year I used windows 7 for a month. Vmware 20h1 was announced and it successfully installed on windows 7. Maybe you can try and mod that one. Anyway it may sound rude, but I'm really glad that vmware does still support Windows 8.1. I thought that developers would abandon it the same way as they did with Windows Vista

Virtualbox 6.1 is running fine on updated vista install. Maybe he didnt have platform update installed?
