  1. I have news about Windows Update v3, I have managed to get Windows Update back to Windows NT 4.0, but only a critical update appears as in Windows 2000. But in Windows 9x whether in Windows 95, 98 or Millennium Internet Explorer crashes
  2. Do you have 404 fiddler errors? to see which are the dead urls?
  3. Hey but that's great news, that it checks for updates after 11 years of "retirement" is just amazing (and the backend being completely different from WUv6). By the way, the problem that WUv4 keeps looking for updates is in top.js, since the sCodeBase line for some reason does not work, and not being able to embed the activeX in default.asp, then change the variable so that it uses the activeX of the 2003 but it says access denied or something like that, but if we manage to make WUv3.1 work even more WUv4 will work. Regarding your great achievement of kicking the obsolescence of Micro$oft and reviving a site that was closed exactly 11 years ago, what cab files are what makes WUv3.1 work? And are you using the free or paid version of WayBack Machine Downloader?
  4. The new version of the extended kernel is coming in a big way Less library fighting, current frameworks that require Windows 8.x, even 10 or higher. And especially the Chromium extensions.
  5. It seems magic when it works, try it on Windows 2000 SP4 with IE5.5 and it works faster than WUV6, but some conditional comments are missing in resultslist.aspx for optional updates, and another splash to install Bits 2.0 and Windows Installer 3.1 in Windows 2000 As the Validation Service for Windows XP since these redirect you at the beginning, I mean the Activex Search.
  6. Do you have the patch installer? Is it only for XP pre-sp2 or does it also work on 2000/9x/me?
  7. I already have the URL-Rewrite extension installed in IIS, but what steps should I follow to create a rule that solves the Query String problem? And how is it possible to use WU in XP SP1 (system that does not support SHA2)?
  8. How did you solve the famous Query Strings problem? And how do you make XP RTM and 2000 SP1/SP2 to be XPSP1 and 2000 SP3 to use WU today? In addition to these systems do not support SHA-2 in any way.
  9. I've updated the website, what's new?: French, Korean and Simplified Chinese languages added Unofficial Service Pack 3 for IE5.5 Root Certificates Update More ways to donate
  10. I'm recreating the old IE5.5 support download site as the IE6 support site for as many languages as possible. Why do I do this? Micro$oft removed the servers for these browsers, even though they don't serve their purpose today they are still necessary components of Windows 9x/NT/2000 and XP. The intention is to facilitate the user of the Legacy version of Windows who needs to update Internet Explorer and has an Internet connection on his Windows 9x/NT/2000 machine, as well as for those who do not have installations in English and want to have it in their respective language. This site works in IE5.01 and later completely at the design level, older browsers like IE4 or Netscape only work for download. IE5.5; http://ie55browserforbetter.tk At the moment it is only available for English, Spanish, French, German, Korean and Simplified Chinese. More languages will be added in the future.
  11. WUSTAT, that is, the first one, seems to be a conditional domain that blocks WUv4 or not. The second NTServicePack and the third Schemas, in my opinion, have more to do with WUv3.1 than with WUv4. And the fourth is the domain where the updates are stored, many of the versions "retired" by Micro$oft are still there especially in http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3-19990518, many follow executables for Windows 9x, that's why WUv6 as the catalog still shows updates for 2000 and XP while the download center doesn't.
  12. Apparently WUv4 needs to work: http://wustat.windows.com/
  13. Windows Update v6 is as in 2019 (working correctly), Windows Update v5 has already been revived but there are problems to be solved, but Windows Update v4 is a little longer.
  14. It could be adapted to work (although only on 2000+), since WUv5/WUv6 don't work on 9x (the reason for reviving WUv4). I will see in iuctl.dll and iuengine.dll with ida pro which url it calls to see if we try to take a step
  15. For now it was tested in XP and maybe in 2000, but about Millennium and 2003 I don't know anything.
  16. AFTER MANY YEARS, a part of the plan working! How did you manage to make Windows Update v5 work, the screenshot is current since it shows postready 2009 updates. What procedure did you use to make WUv5 work correctly?
  17. How about driver AHCI/SATA?, Intel until version 18 provided it, but in version 19 it only gives the VMD. Someone shows me the hardware ID they have in IDE ATA/Atapi Controllers.
  18. Hello, @blackwingcat have released all versions of Intel AHCI/RAID driver for Windows 2000 up to 300 series Chipset in 2018, I wonder if it is possible to have 400 or 600 chipset in Windows 2000?
