  1. @sal here You might find this interesting. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/superantispyware-updates-news.391893/ Cheers By the way I have been using it for ages. Just for tracking cookies really.
  2. I also use same version of MBAM as @heinoganda and Avast free 18.8.2356
  3. @mo832 I don't think there is a built-in feature to override a pagrs styles on a tab-tab or site-site basis. There might be an add-on for this. Greasemonkey for example allows you to use java script on a site-site basis thus providing you with an opportunity for customization the caveat , such an arduous task to obtain the desired result. You could try Stylish extension or customize-your-web extension providing of course that this is feasible. I don't use any of them. Why don't you do a clean install of Panda just in case. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-jYwX271V8s6hl47uO-S_TBOaJW-JxxN3cudix12H6c/edit PS : nosquint extension
  4. @mo832 Since you are using ff47 please read article below you might find it useful https://www.ghacks.net/2016/03/21/firefox-47-tab-based-temporary-user-agent-switching/ You can always change user agent by way of an add on https://legacycollector.org/firefox-addons/ Scroll all the way down the bottom. See if any of the user agent add ons available install on your browser. In About : config , Do not forget to set xpinstall.signatures.required to false. ( Can't remember when the signed add ons policy was implemented )
  5. What about if you changed user-agent to NT6.1 firefox 61.0 or even 60.9 or 52.9 ?
  6. @VistaLover Have not changed anything in about:config As you may see media.wmf.enabled true Cheers
  7. @VistaLover Just clicked on the link furnished above and was able to watch said video without any problems whatsoever NM 28.6.0a1 32 bit 2019-05-24 Shortly I'll be tying serpent 52 and ff52. Keep you posted. Just to let you know , Serpent 52 latest as well as firefox 52.9.1 work fine. Cheers PS: Forgot to mention that on serpent I use user agent string : Mozilla/5.0(windowsNT6.1;rv:61.0)Gecko/200100101 Firefox/61.0 through user-agent switcher and manager 0.2.6 add on
  8. Just installed the fix ( esr 52.9.1 ) All of the ones "affected " I mean the proceed with caution warning went back to normal except of course legacy ublock origin as expected.
  9. Same as the gentleman above.
  10. I have 5 mail accounts ( 3 hotmail ,yahoo, gmail ) I am member in 2 discussion forums, 4 international newspapers, avast forum, malwarebytes forum, progrock archives and legrove. I have never ever encountered any of the inconveniences you have mentioned. Cheers
  11. @VistaLover Inadvertently changed my adguard settings. Actually there were supposed to be as depicted below. I am aware thet I can get the nocoin list f ublock origin. I prefer to use adguard spyware filter since it is more complete than ublock's adguard spyware filter and also because of the phising malware protection provided by adguard and not by ublock. You are absolutely right. Thank you
  12. I have no intention whatsoever to ditch XP so soon. It serves all my needs nicely. I have been using it since july 2010 ( after my pc running win2k pro went kaput ) . In 2011, I got another pc win7 pro but I hardly use it. Actually my trouble and strife does but believe it or not she prefers my xp . I would like to thank you all for your invaluable contribution and help.
  13. Just to let you know everything is ok now. No more high cpu usage whether signed in or not. @kitaro1 I used your suggestion on this other streaming site I had been having trouble with and worked like a charm. Edit 1 : Also another thing that may have contributed to that may have been some conflicting settings on ublock and adguard. After sorting that out cpu usage is minimum all over the place really. Thank you.
  14. @kitaro1 Thank you so much. I reckon it kind of work. My cpu from 100% went down to something between 40% and 50% when visiting this forum.. My filters ublock origin I inserted the following : msfn.org/.googlesyndication.com I trust it is the right syntax Edit 1 : However when I sign in it shoots up to 100%. Just now turned it off for this site as I had always done before and in a matter of 15 seconds cpu went down to 2.9 %. I guess either the forum or my browser is a bit moody as it seems. Edit2 Back to 100% I reckon there might be something wrong with the forum.
  15. Something strange to report. As from this morning when I visit the forum NM is using 100% cpu. Mypal performs a bit better using 70 to 60 %, while ff52 and basilisk use basically 0% when idle for example reading the contents of a thread. This is why I used ff to convey this message ( CPU usage was 0% while typing} . I did clear cookies and history however the problem persists. Any ideas on that ? @roytam1 Cheers
  16. @Mathwiz There is this site here, they use cloudflare to check your browser. http://www7.putlockers.fm/ Never had any trouble with NM28, Basilisk 52 or mypal.
  17. @Dave-H Perhaps has something to do with this : https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/mar/13/facebook-outages-americas-europe-instagram-whatsapp
  18. Ublock origin legacy updater 1.6.7 ( Basilisk ) you may get it here : https://github.com/JustOff/ublock0-updater/releases/tag/1.6.7 Cheers PS : It is also good for firefox 52.9.1 esr and New moon !
  19. Since this issue has been discussed here , I would like to inform you that Mozilla 64 also suffers from the 23/25 min youtube mozilla bug. As it seems either they have not been able to fix it or simply they do not care. cheers
  20. Actually is because the ublock origin you have installed is a later version and not the legacy one ( 1.16.4.7 ) that is why is greyed out.
  21. @Mathwiz You may do so through ublock origin
  22. Thank you Dencorco and FranceBB . I was going to do so anyway.
  23. Thanks Dave it worked. However BS still misbehaving so had to uninstall it. I got hold of an offline installer . last one to work with winxp was 17.3.xxx The one I 've got is 17.2.2288 you may downloaded from here. Got this from Avast forum ( bob) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wR1ITPOGpL6_HtbUwu-x_B3zmBdNr6ii/view Now I got a question . Do I go for it( I don't even know if bs is going to work ) ? Or use the latest version without bs ? @FranceBB What do you reckon ?
  24. @Dave-H Thank you very much indeed ! I'll be trying it out shortly.
  25. @FranceBB Please mate no worries at all. Good luck with your work ! I do understand this is basically mission impossible. Workaround involving winpat did not last long, BS is back to its usual self ,turning off. Anyways I had been using version 12 ( no behaviour shield in this version) until two months ago and was planning to keep it if it was not for that forced update to version 18.6. I could not complain since everything was fine. This last version 18.8 seems to be allergic to my system. Now my two other two options would be either Panda ( installed on my win7 computer) or Avira which I detest profoundly. Neither of them has a behaviour shield or something similar to it. I got PC tools FW paranoia mode ( don't make them like this anymore ) which has HIPS as well as OSArmour If you are not familiar https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/novirusthanks-osarmor-an-additional-layer-of-defense.398859/ which is highly recommended in Wilders forum and those two I reckon they cover Avast's B Shield. I might be terribly wrong of course. So I decided to get rid of this component since it is not working . I mean what's the point of having it. Of course If I mention this in the Avast forum I would elicit the same kind of admiration one would feel for a streaker at Queen Victoria's funeral. So far the only thing Avast BS detected was Basilisk so did my firewall. Bottom line is I don't give a rat's suppurated arse about B Shield. PS : I have also enabled Hardened mode aggressive. I am very happy indeed now Cheers
