Weird. I did the same things as you. Removing opera took away the aero glass, but putting it back also put the glass.
And also, it appears that CryptRetrieveTimeStamp and CryptVerifyTimeStampSignature need to be added to crypt32 to get LibreOffice 7.0.3 to work. I'll get on that.
maybe because your shell32 is the older one?

You have to set it for opera.exe.
Also, Application Verifier was purged when MS removed non-SHA-2 signed downloads:
Some people were speculating if the SHA-2 deprecation had something to do with the extended kernel release...
i did it with opera and launcher , in the screenshot i removed opera.exe to see if it made a difference

That is possibly due to it detecting Vista. I believe that it will refuse to update if it detects XP/Vista. The fix is to set NT 6.1 in Application Verifier (which will also fix Aero Glass in Opera instead of that XP appeasing junk).
did everything yet it wont work , what do you suggest? https://imgur.com/a/ORr9bcp

I also modified an existing function to make it more true to the Windows 7 equivalent. It appears that this modification didn't go as planned, so that part has been reverted (the new function remains) and the file updated.
how did you get aero over there? i dont get it , is this related to the w7 thingy?

Since it is working fine, I added it to the folder but haven't decided to update the installer yet.

I added that function. Seems to be have some issues which prevent Opera 72 from launching with sandbox for now, but it works fine with --no-sandbox.
browsing works?

Exactly. People thought Windows 7 was holy just because it got released after Vista which was very underrated.
Also im saying this having used Windows 8.1 for like 60minutes in total , its the most polished windows with modern features while still retaining somewhat of a windows feeling compared to windows 10 , thats straight up trash imo.

But no denying that Win7 was one of the best versions of Windows.
Only because it was overrated after Vista's miserable launch , i would say 8.1 and Vista are the best and then 7.

That would be the one used to enable local redirection.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options] "DevOverrideEnable"=dword:00000001
But, don't the latest definition updates work on Vista again as suggested above?
They work but one needs to manually fetch them , is it possible to enable manual updating through defender itself like before , or am i forced to download from the ms site now?

The addition of a string to the registry and a .local file in the Windows Defender folder along with my kernel32 should suffice.
could you please tell me what string needs to be added and where? also is it possible to fix definition updating through WD.

Regarding the ui, Windows Vista has a beautiful UI whereas Windows 10....... has a Lol-style UI (See my signature).
Windows 10 always keeps spying on you while Vista has no telemetry.
While Windows 7 may seem like the perfect Windows 10 alternative, seeing that it is still used in about 15% of worldwide PC's makes us consider the risks of using it as it is a vulnerable target for malware and hackers. So I chose Vista as it is used by only about 0.3% of PC's worldwide and is secure through obscurity. Windows 8 ( with a little UI tweaks) could also be an alternative if you can't install and use Vista.
agreed , my laptop originally came with windows 10 , but had to uninstall 2 months later as i was getting severe headaches using it , same effect of using 3d goggles

This is the original version of Teardown, which uses a Windows 10 exclusive API function, SetProcessDpiAwarenessContext, running on Windows Vista with an upcoming update to user32.dll:
Later versions of the game no longer use this function and as such will work normally on Windows 7, 8.x and 99.9% sure, Vista, though I have no proper way of testing DX11 games on Vista due to the age of my GPU. There are also other games known to use this function, so even though the developers of Teardown realized the demand for their games on older platforms, others may take a different attitude and force users onto the latest versions of Windows 10 to use their products. So, this will allow Vista/7/8.1 users to be prepared for such a future event.
Since some interest has been shown in donations for my work, I have set up a method for users to contribute financially for this and some of my other works:

Yes, that is a problem that affects even the latest versions of Opera x64. I haven't added that function yet but do plan to do it in the release after next.
isnt SHAssocEnumHandlersForProtocolByApplication also required for chromium edge aswell?
