98SE your board seems to be awesome. Should I wait for i7 9700k? I have sold my kabylake build to one guy . I have some money in hand . I have kept it with my dad as i may lose it . I am waiting. I have some xp compatible gfx card lying around.

Hello 98SE he wants to build a completely compatible xp build. Does this board support usb3.0 at usb3.0 speed on xp ? Will it work on i7 2700k (lga 1155 I hope it should work )?

I found Z77/Z68 slightly faster than H61. Their are many features. You can do multi gpu stunts in Z series board. Better build quality that let you run system for much more days.system surely will last long because he wishes to run the system for long as in future getting xp work will be a nightmare. Not to mention that you can use xmp at 2400mhz for your ram modules. In future you can oc your processor because now a days application getting crazy for more clocks. We should always think some future proof idea.

Well easily you can go to bios in Z77/Z170 /X79 then change xhci controller to 3rd party then it will become Asmedia or Renesas or via (what ever is provided by your manufacturer ). A thread in hwbot forum is dedicated to all about this xhci and xp. Their few advantages in z77 *better memory controller *advance pcie v3 gen 2 slot (though only one but reasonable performance while used with gfx card) *bios to handle nvme drives (Toshiba ocz has driver for xp) *msata support If these are not required go for z68

Perfect if you wish to go Z77 MOBO +32GB ddr3 ram from corsair with heatsink + i7 3770k + nvdia gtx 960 (why old 750) + 256GB ssd. Choose a good quality smps . It is very important other wise fry mobo like I did with my msi Z170. Corsair smps are good enough. Evga is also great. A good case with plenty of cooling is very essential but most peeps doesn't care regards of that. Regards of 4tb hdd I can make two 2tb partition using 3tb plus unlocker. dencorso it is better you invest on X99 but x79 is better compatible with xp.

No hope same issues. I need universal CRT hotfix for Qt but that requires huge 800mb download of 2014 update rollup . Any one know how can I get qt 5.9.1 function? Any one knows how to install universal CRT update with out such big download? Which are most important updates to be installed? I don't want windows 10 on my production environment. Please help I am In a urgent requirement of getting qt function. My os is 8.1 enterprize n x64

It first complained me about missing api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll and api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll . I copied those two dll to syswow64 but now QTCreator does not open .. Please help me ... It worked for me in previous installation but after fresh installation of 8.1 it does not work .... Please see here about the error

I am reinstalling 8.1 on 3 of my pc. Dam on Microsoft. I will never update it any more. I have to fix my bootloader with easy bcd for my xp . I hate reinstalling
