My Browser Builds (Part 1)
Dibya replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Then okay. No problem. My poor knowledge. I am noobs regarding codecs .What about adding settings suggested by @GrandAdmiralThrawn in next build as default? https://github.com/MoonchildProductions/Pale-Moon/issues/1438 Another decision to kill xp. Edit : 4k video playback performance is worse. I found PM uses libpx older version. Ffvpx should be adopted. I have used a pc with i7 6700k and 980ti. I used above Dx9 hack but no success. Ff52 esr is working like a charm. Please fix 4k playback issue. It is of course xp x86. -

I am wondering if vlc soarcecode can be implemented for providing h264 media playback functionality on PM then it may be better as lav requires a good cpu. -

What are you kidding me? $3000 for just 12mb . It is cost of my whole gaming pc. -
Anyway I am no more replying. Let community speak for me. Sorry JodyT I honour you and I respect. It's my style of speaking and my stupid atitude that make me wild sometime. Sorry for that !!

After so I gonna complete your words. JodyT stop speaking this meaning less things. XPX64 beats 8x64 like a lion roars up on a cat and make it loose it sense. I fact it is im possible to beat memory routine of xp . Same for xp x86. XP is legend and nothing becomes legend for luck. Man say me why 8 never got too popular. It has millions of draw backs. I know you can fix it with 3rd party fixes but it is not perfect of its own. Bad to say this it is true , without 3rd party fixes 8/8.1/10 are far inferior to even windows me. I know it is bitter to hear but remember ui changes the world of computing. Why windows 95 gained popularity .same answer due to ui . XP has most effective ui ever designed if you consider work advantages.

Lol I wanna have 12mb hdd. My phone has more internal memory than that. Those drives are sata or pata? I think sata is far away. -
On XP I get that ram usages when I am rendering some moderate renders on Maya. XP uses less ram no fight. Both 8/8.1 crashed me so many time during rendering session . XP is more stable as it has no winSxS bloats. Are you saying XPx64 less stable than 8x64? Then you are speaking absolute meaning less things . XP x64 is absolute solid when comes to stability. I remember how many time 7 crashed me during my gameplay because it cannot handle my card but XP x64 never did so.
-
We should replace XP with 10 for what? To get rabzer random ware, first party spyware so on. 7 is dying very soon. 8 already died . Many things not going to work on 8.1 after 2020. Hello are you aware their certain Russian malware's work only on 8/8.1 even avs cannot help you to get rid of them.

Sorry Edit: palemoon is great enough but still it's JScript performance is not up to the modern standards. We may improve it by means of porting some codes from SeaMonkey . Memory footprint is low that's amazing but improvement are required when comes to rendering Js I am wondering if x264 lib can be used instead of lav for h264 purposes.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264 -
@98SE it is USB or sata

I wish someone will maintain SeaMonkey for XP once support ends. @roytam1 how can I apply your CPP patches to palemoon source? Can I use latest stable branch rather github one? I just want to play around. -
[Cancelled by the Author] Extended Kernel for XP (ExtendedXP)
Dibya replied to Dibya's topic in Windows XP
Jumper if I adjust kernel ex 4.5.1 will it work on XP. Please explain me more about kex4.5.1 Edit: jumper if you can clean up the code of kex4.5.1 and add ini support like below. I will be greatly helped. Ini may be like this ; API redirection list Kernel32.Getthreadid =exkernel.Getthreadid ; Application exception Avast.exe I wish to write my wrapper in assembly as that gives me maximum flexibility.
