  1. Best with MSE Definition Updater 1.5 "Reset the antivirus update engine ........... (RAUE)" and then "To update the virus definition for MSE ......... (1)" execute. As the older version of MpSigStub.exe is installed with every update with the MSE Definition Updater, the automatic updates are temporarily re-executed by MSE. However, only until the latest version of MpSigStub.exe is installed.
  2. Today coming Java security update SE8u131. Info: 8u131 Update Release Notes
  3. @FranceBB Did you solve your problem with .NET Framework 4 ?
  4. Today the version 26.0.0.94 was released by the beta flashplayer, unfortunately the PPAPI Flashplayer for chromium-based webbrowser does not work either. So continue to wait and drink tea. Little addition: The existing PPAPI Flashplayer in the program directory of Google Chrome (C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Applications\49.0.2623.112\PepperFlash\) does not need to be deleted! If another user profile (other user in Windows XP) is set up, the PPAPI Flashplayer existing in Google Chrome's program path is first used. The PPAPI Flashplayer directory in Google Chrome's user profile (\Documents and Settings\$USER$\LocalSettings\ApplicationData\Google\Chrome\UserData\PepperFlash\25.0.0.148\) corresponds to the regular Google Chrome components update path.
  5. Then the PPAPI Flashplayer v26.0.0.89 would have to work with other Chromium-based browsers (Opera, SlimJet), which is not the case.
  6. @sdfox7 If the PPAPI Flashplayer is updated according to this comment, it will be displayed correctly for the plugins as well.
  7. This is known to me, because of the first response of your error message to Adobe, I thought that you can counter-argue with Opera. Officially the PPAPI Flashplayer from Adobe is for Chromium based webbrowser, except the exception of Google Chrome, therefore also my intention to refer to Opera.
  8. @sdfox7 Regarding your message with Adobe, the PPAPI Flashplayer version 26.0.0.89 also does not work with Opera version 36.0.2130.65 and 36.0.2130.80 (same error message as with Google Chrome). Because of the fact that Google Chrome's Flashplayer is delivered from Google, then immediately argue with Opera.
  9. I could not retrace the error 0x80070643 with KB4012355 during a test installation of the .NET Framework 4 in the VM. Is MSI 4.5 (KB942288-v3) installed? If so, I have found here an error solution suitable to the error. If no, MSI 4.5 should be installed and try a repeated installation of KB4012355.
  10. With Classic Notepad (ClassicOS Typewriter) I have noticed once but no abnormalities. Installer created with Inno Setup with the following extracted file: "ClassicOS Typewriter.exe" https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/cf11b4ec78644e3f9e6736e05b236657cb7e2df4074faeb9ff3917de74869fc1/analysis/1493576893 In the Inno Setup script, there were also no abnormalities. Somehow I see no sense, why a notepad replacement?
  11. This file is absolutely not trustworthy! SFX Installer https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/f4bb8b6a0cee8c9fd27b797fbd9ed39326991161a5b6af9c153af1c961f72f3c/analysis/1493570826 Unpacked file from the SFX installer https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4195efa73c95510301ae9ad066a27762253cbf8122a8e85171bc669d0c1ee54b/analysis/1493570999 Will check again later this file with Virustotal.
  12. Since the test on the beta pepflashplayer 26.0.0.89 was negative, I recommend that the next pepflashplayer release update should be installed after a successful test in this topic.
  13. Update with 2 more root certificates: CN = Swiss Government Root CA III OU = www.pki.admin.ch O = Swiss Government PKI C = CH CN = SI-TRUST Root 2.5.4.97 = VATSI-17659957 O = Republika Slovenija C = SI Those using heinoganda's Cert_Updater.exe should run it ASAP. Others needing a redistributable rootsupd.exe should follow his instructions for creating their own, or PM at 5eraph for an updated EXE file.
  14. The list of Mathwiz shows correctly (see Technet blog), from which patch these relevant vulnerabilities were removed. In the meantime, there may be other vulnerabilities in the same files that are fixed by a newer patch. Because of this problem, it happens because the previous patch has become obsolete, which is not offered for a new installation of the updates the previous patch. For this reason I have developed a corresponding list which takes this problem into account and the user does not wonder why certain updates can not be found or can be installed later manually. The list is a snapshot, where the user shows which updates are relevant at the current time, so that the security holes listed in the Technet blog are eliminated. (I deliberately refrained from specifying the additional vulnerabilities in the follow-up patch, in order not to discourage the users, since again no reference is possible to the Technet blog.)
  15. VIA chipsets are very problematic and can lead to such problems. Already with updated AGP drivers tried by VIA? https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/355763/geforce-basics/k8t800-amp-geforce-6600gt-8xagp-problems-with-via-chipset/1
  16. The time zone update definitely does not affect the updates from the certificates. It was in an earlier post anyhow illustrating that there may be date differences in the downloaded certificate containers can be due to the time zones. As in the case of delroots.sst.
  17. It is better those mods are not needed, in any case, because up to the present state the security update KB4011981 of March 2017 was not applied (Windows_XP_128GB_double_pae_addon_final_byDibya). Specifically, the files are ntkrnlpa.exe and ntkrpamp.exe, both version 5.1.2600.7146. Current file version of KB4011981 is 5.1.2600.7197.
  18. @jaclaz Ok, then I did not understand that correctly. Well, as far as my time is concerned, I have invested in this project is still the smaller problem, but the users of the original projects (mfc42 extension as an example) that were linked together in this project. The point that here is also the necessary respect before his projects is missing and I find it too bad to find then parts in Extended XP were inserted where then standstill! This frustrates me the most!
  19. @jaclaz Everyone should get his chance, you need not be sad with me and I stand by it even though the signs have been there already. @Dibya Do not be angry with me, but be honestly it is missing now 2 months where updates were not implemented and thus Extended XP became useless! What should the user think of, for example, Palemoon from version 27 onwards, updated updates from MS installed and nothing goes more! I explained before you the situation, only you seem not want to understand and not enough lets the users in the "rain" stand.
  20. On the topic of "Creating a complete compatibility level". Except construction sites I see no progress. For 2 months Extended XP would have to be updated due to the published security updates of MS. Maybe a user who has the appropriate competence has a sensible project on his feet and not just big promises. Here a part as a part, only concept-less tinkering, where ultimately only can fail. See the project Extended XP as failed!
  21. The relevant updates are installed on my system. I have the list, based on more recent updates, updated. ;KB958644 10/22/2008 replaced by KB2705219! 22. @glnz As far as the WiFi expansion in this area is concerned, this should be limited to the villages / cities. But a holiday to get to know the country and the people, I could imagine. Just to be a human again, without the negative influence of our civilization, where it is only about printed colored paper to satisfy a few of their avarice.
  23. For the problem of a forgotten login password I like to use the ERD Commander for Windows XP (Bootable) or as here http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-bypass-Windows-XP-login-passwords-from-scra. The problem with the password-protected screen saver, here is a guide http://www.mfhughes.com/writing/password_disable.htm. To KB4015193, the change affects this region of Chile. It is off-topic, but the summer time was originally introduced because of the desire for energy saving. Meanwhile, it is said that it has little effect on the energy consumption, worse is the economy of the financial damage caused by people where only the full work performance after the change. A homemade and superfluous hostage of mankind!
  24. The MSE Definition Updater is designed exclusively for Windows XP, so it can not be guaranteed that it will work under Windows Vista. A test in a VM or test system can not hurt. For me, the question arises which version of MSE is installed. In version 4.8 I am aware that the engine is disabled by the definition. One approach would be to install an older version of MSE (4.4.304.0) and corresponding key in the registry HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft Security Client","DisplayVersion",,"9.9.999.0" so that MSE can not be updated (works under Windows XP, only the question is whether Windows Vista is looking for updates of this Key is just as relevant).
  25. On the subject of high CPU utilization with automatic updates, as well as WU / MU with the IE8 in the process svchost.exe. After some tests, I found that this problem also occurs without POSReady key in the registry and also under the Windows XP variant "POSReady 2009". If you do not want to get more programs, like Office Compatibility Pack 2007, for Windows XP updates, the trick will work out with the current Cumulative Update for IE8. But as updates for, for example, the Office Compatibility Pack 2007 are available, even without POSReady key in the registry, the high CPU utilization is observed in the process svchost.exe. The question that is asked me is whether to the updates for the Office Compatibility Pack 2007 a failure report to MS would be possible. Although I do not have much hope, it would be worth a try. Problem since November/December 2016. Otherwise, only the current Cumulative Update for IE8 would be installed, as for the Office Compatibility Pack 2007, to download the updates via WSUS, to install manually and only now with automatic updates or with WU / MU on the IE8 to check for updates. Unfortunately, not so good news.
