i wouldnt go with tain... i would get the dfi lanpart ultra-d he doesnt want sli so why waste the money.

Yes exactly like with OS X, its this implied added security due to its small amount of users, that obviously no serious fcukheadhacker would waste his time to work on it, specially that i.e. IE6 (the most popular browser ATM) is like a swiss cheese and its users are basically sitting ducks waiting in the open and begging to be rooted I'm not sure have I understood you correctly... I hope you don't hold it against K-Meleon? no i agree with you. k-melon has a huge advantage of beign know by few, no one will want to hack it which will make you much much safer.

does anyone know how to find out what your serial number is for halo? like is it stored anywhere on the comp: registry, some random file, etc? i cant seem to find it anywhere.

well i would not suggest it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103586 you can get a cheap dual core like this and overclock it to at least 2.6ghz, very easily too as for performance goes, am2 cpu's perform identically to s939 cpu's. the only real performance difference is in memory intensive programs, but not by much either. also if i was to upgrade right now, it certainly wouldnt be for an am2, it would be for a core 2 duo. so just get a new cpu and use your comp for as long as you want to. if you are an amd fan then wait for the barcelona to come out. hopefully that will be in about 3 or so months unless they push back the release date again.
