well if your using it for that then i would so to go ahead and do it. from what ive read RAID is only really usefull when handling large files, and those are really large files. but you are going to lose that data... so find a way to back it up first.

how do you know if any holes exist for k-melon? unless someone tries to hack it, i really dont see how anyone would find a hole?

lol. i did use php includes. and i will fix that css later on once i actually focus on the design, i really dont have the time for all this right now as school ends really soon. so in ~2 weeks ill be really getting into the design part. thx so much guys.

get rid of the frames. and i already said that i have firefox portable..

1. you have to use the BIOS and it will wipe everything. 2. after that is all done and it is in RAID, you cant treat it just as you had before. so yes, you will be able to parition it, do this in windows set up or a partioning program once in windows. 3. see#1 ..? and do you really need RAID? it wont give you that much of a performance boost and its not like you really need it. it will only shave a sec off in game loading times.. :/

well ide have to say its between IE and FF. no one ever hears about opera, even though i think its the best(or should i say its what i prefer the most).

well you guys convinced me enough and i had nothing better to do... so i did it.

what video card do you have? and whats the problem with it? and do you have another one that you could possibly test with? i just dont want you to go out and get a new mobo for a few hundred dollars when your current one works perfectly.

well i do have firefox portable that i test occasionally with. i just tested and refreshing on my site doesnt mess it up.

well i think me and zxian just made it pointless to test them. lol it all depends on preferences so it seems kind of stupid to even have these polls/discussions if its impossible to come up with a true answer.

as for refreshing, its not for ie7 and opera for me. dont have FF. and i plan on using sessions, just havnt had the time to get them added.

well my point is that there can only be 1 best. isnt that what the word means... if you have 3 ppl claiming 3 different browsers the best.. then we have a problem. to them it is the best but in reality there is only 1 best. and we cant really figure out what the best is since everyone is basing it on their own opinions and not always facts. we should find out which has the best ram usage, security, speed, ease of use, customizability, etc.

DH-800 is your mobo, right? so what exactly is giving you the problems? you said video, so wouldnt that be your video card? thats unless your mobo's agp connections has gone bad.

well i do use php include for basically every page to include a config file. i still dont see any negatives on frames tho.. refreshing does not bring me back to the home page for my site.. and like i said i dont want ppl to be able to bookmark, the only things i would want them to bookmark would be 1 click away from the homepage. i can see how it goes against completeness, thats about it. i will prolly end up doing divs but that will come at a later time.

this is correct for an opinion based answer, but there has to be a "best" out there. but you are correct that people should use what they like. i only have 20 tabs open now, ~100mb of ram. lol i have a total of 2 gigs of ram so i have plenty to spare. some of my tabs are coding related, some are newegg, some are math, some are wiki, some are inquirer, some are youtube. it all builds up. its better making my bookmarks longer IMO.

well you would need a socket 603/604, but your looking to pay alot of money for a new mobo.. and just for the video. have you thought about getting a cheap pci video card?

good ideas there, thx. i was going to use php include, whats the difference with require? and again my coach does the home.php! lol he uses some s***ty web editor which causes all of those spaces why exactly are frames annoying? i dont want ppl to be able to bookmark things since most of the site requires someone to be logged in.

well if it only happens for a few min, it may also be due to overheating, considering its almost summer and all. the cpu gets hot and the fan will turn on high until the cpu is down to a certain temp. but definatly check to see if it needs to be cleaned.

lol, my opera is using over 110mb of ram right now! but i also have 22 tabs open...

lol. the pic i know! my coach does the main page, so he obviously screwed that one up! its loads instantly for me but but its still huge. i know the colors suck, as i already said, design is my last concern. and if you have any recomendations, please let me know. and not that i beleive i am done with the coding, ill start to make it look nice, now to start with that homepage! edit: well see the reason i used frames is because of the target= i didnt want to type out a table/div in every page
