another review: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1100/1/p...tion/index.html now its obvious that the 8800gtx is beating the HD2900XT. that 8800gtx is also 150$ more than the HD2900XT. i would rather see the 8800gts 640mb vs HD2900XT. this makes the 8800gts the cheaper one and perforance may be about equal. edit: found some 8800gts 640mb vs HD2900XT results here http://guru3d.com/article/Videocards/431/
no hardcore gaming? this card will turn you into a hardcore gamer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130082 just in case you want to spend more money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130071 but seriously, if you dont game much, then why get it? you could also go for an 8600gt/gts for ~100$ cheaper.
if you plan on using it for that long, then get the 640mb. vram has gone insane lately. games are using more and more of it. in 4 years it will probably be insane.
and i agree. i have so much air going thru my comp due to my great airflow, and my fans are on low speed. you need a straight path of air imo. going straight thru with nothing interrupting the flow.
also what resolution are you at? games like oblivion use over 500mb of vram at 1280x1024 with max settings. the 320mb will still kick a** in bascially every game. there just will be those games where you will occasionaly/rarely see lag. so i would suggest the 320mb if you are running 1280x1024 or less.
well i really mean the cases, some cases dont support front fans, and if they do, the fans are like 80mm. but my point is that if the comp already has low temps, then why do you need it? it will only add noise.
well im going by computers ive configured for some friends. some cant afford a large budget and a cpu fan + a rear exhaust fan gives very good cooling. if someone is experiences overheating then ya, he would have to figure out how/where to get more air from. maybe its just because of good heatsink, but my friends' comps run pretty cool with no overheating issues so far.
well just play with it, it was the only thing i could think of that would help you. im not sure if the source code is available but check out the autoit3 website.
are you on a router? you would have to forward a port on ur router so that you can connect to your comp from an outside comp. from them you will probably be able to network the printer also. you could also set up a VPN with a program such as hamachi.
they are basically the same cpu. one is for servers and one is for workstations, they each have their own special features. but they really are the same. do you want a server or a desktop? i would go for the QX6700 only because it is meant for doing basically anything. unless you want it primarily as a server, get the QX6700.
you really only need a rear exhaust, a side fan wont help that much either... but i guess u can run that at vry low speed. you dont want to suck from the top tho, you can exhaust if you want to but from what ive tested and what others have tested, a top fan really doesnt matter.
ya im talking about those. but im a junior, taking 3 this year and 3 next year. what really sucks is that i need to pay 83$ per exam... thats almost 500$ worth of AP exams!
ya i have a physics AP and an italian AP to still take.. does anyone know exactly how the CS AP is scored? theres 40 multiple choice worh 50% of the test and 4 written programs, 2 parts each, which must be another 40pts. so if its out of 80, does anyone know what i need to get a 5? i couldnt seem to find those staticstics anywhere.
just wondering who else is taking AP Computer Science right now. im taking the AP test tomorrow morning... i know ill get a 4, the question is, will i get a 5? so is there anyone else taking this test. btw, dont you love those little fishies
some sata hdds have only sata power connectors and some have both sata and molex type connectors. if they have both then only use one, its your choice, it doesnt matter which one you pick. personally i use the sata connectors so i can free up my molex connectors for whatever i need.
