i dont think that it is the prefetcher either, try removing the other tweak and see what happens

no they dont exist, yet the raptor will rape any 7200 drive in burst speed, for copying/moving very large files sataII will come just above the raptor. so the raptor is faster, not by much but it is. this is considering that you are comparing 2 sataII drives in raid0 which i would definetly pick over a raptor, more space, queiter, cooler, longer life. but if you were comparing the raptor vs 1 sataII then the raptor will kill it by alot.

well i think that Hatefulsorrow is right, might be the drivers. if it works without a problem in the ibook then it cant be the hdd. or it could still be the ram, just run memtest all night long and let us know tomorrow.

so you have all of your apps installation files on g: and are trying to install them on c: and you get this error? have you been watching the task manager to see how much ram is left? have you tried the drive on another computer?

i wonder what they mean by system resources. it usually means ram, go ahead and run memtest tonight. also im trying to figure out what your hdd config is, so do you have a comp with an internal hdd(c:) and the 160gig is external(d:) and the OS is installed on c:? then whenever you reinstall xp on c: , d: gives you that error when you try to acces it?

well thats what was happening with the torrent sites that host the torrent files, they are being blamed and being shut down. and im not sure if the people that were being sued actually we sued, i think that they lawsuits never went through.
