the silicon depends on what core you have, amd is starting to get some better silicon, especially with the opterons.

ya, the hdd big time. if you use both the hdd and dvd drive then it will obviously be using more battery

well it depends on what you mean by reliability, if it is wether on not it crashes alot then im not sure which to pick. amd's are ALOT cooler than intel's.

i dont care about reliability, no one even really knows how reliable anything is until its dead. all i care is that amd has a better price/perfomance ratio and that amd just plain old rapes intel

for the ram it all depends on how much money you want, all you need is 2 gigs, u will never use more than 2gigs in the first place and if you ever did then you would need a vry fast cpu. if u want to run 4 stick of ram at 1T then you can get the new dfi crossfire board, i dont know how they did it but i love them DONT BUY FROM EBAY! always go thru a reliable source

how much money? pci-e or agp? so u need a cpu,ram, and mobo?

well how much more ram did you get? if you get at least 512mb of ram, then mce2005 will run pretty well. also what is the point of you having mce? are you planning to do anything special?

that mobo is pretty much a piece of crap. 2t only matters if ur using more than 2 sticks of ram.
