u need a fan! and thats final! fanless just means that you dont have to put a fan directly on the heatsink. but what happens when the heatsink is vry hot and has no way of cooling down? then ur f***ed. get at least a single if not two 120mm fans for your case, for air in and air out. and the cpu isnt the only part that makes alot of heat. there is the chipset, other crap on the mobo such as power stuff, the hdd, vid card, dvd rom, etc.

it all depends on what speakers you have and whether or not you think eax 5 is work it.

well im just going to my point of when u can build it urself, especially for the high ranged stuff.

ya its good for gaming, the vid card is top of the line for laptops, 2gigs of ram is perfect, and u have a fast dual core cpu, what else could u want?

i dont really undestand you. so are you already able to go to the site or not? all you need to do is either have an html link under ur flash video, or in ur flash video have a button that goes to ur home page's url address.

well all i can say is that those specs are very good for a laptop, gaming should be fine for you, the only thing u need to worry about is cooling. basically all laptops/desktepts are the same in performance unless u want to pay lots or build ur own. so i would just recommend getting a notebook cooling pad and u will be fine.

well i mainly use ipx for games when friends come over. also i need it for hamachi...

i personally HATE flash sites. i dont want to wait for sites to load and when the site finally loads, there are usually a bunch of dumb animations before you can even click on something. all i want to do is get info, not watch a movie. and making a site in flash will take much longer than it will to code it in html.

but what if i want to connect another comp directly to my comp...

does anyone know how to install the NWlink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS in vista? when i click to isntall protocols, it isnt in the list...

well my cable modem is prolly 2 months old right now. and i know that the cable line going from my splitter to my modem is fine, the cable guy put that in. so if its the line then it would have to be from outside going to my splitter. i guess ill just call my isp asap. thx

this has been really annoying lately. i have cable internet, im plugged in through a router connected to the modem thru and ethernet cord. and prolly for 2 sec every minute or so my signal will just completely drop and web pages wont load and downloads will pause, then 2sec later it will be fine again...

well im guessing its just for recording and watching movies, it is a htpc...

well im just saying. something such as memory. ya they offer 2 gigs, but of value memory... now for a normal user thats fine but not for me.

well as for case its totally up to ur preference. as for tv tuner, hauppauge makes pretty good analog and digital cards. and as for sound card, i would recommend looking into the auzentech x-plosion or x-meridian. they will allow you to connect to ur receiver thru a single optical cable and it can encode anything to surround sound.

why do u need codecs when u can just use vlc?

personally i dont think you have any choice on things. if i want a high perfomance part, i just cant get it. and why would you care about customer support? are you planning on ur comp to break?

I seem to remember Bill gates saying we would never use more than so and so HD space and so and so RAM. Now look at technology trends these days. You can never tell someone they will never use this much or that much. by never i mean within 5 years. cpu and gpu voltages have dropped alot, this lower power is needed. the way things are looking we dont need high watt psu's. if u do one of those watt calculators then u will prolly find that ur using less then 250 or 200 watts. now if u have a server with 10hdds and 10fan and 4 procs, well thats another story.
