it could also be a driver issue. what do you have loading during the applied setting time?

those heatsink he posted are for the chipsetm not the cpu. they are passive which means no fan to make noise. and you say your current fan makes noise only for the first 30sec or so, well then who cares? that is just b/c its going at 100% during that time, it happens for me too but for only like 5-10 sec. i beleive that a new fan will not fix this, unless you go passive.

well get an mp3 player, not a cd player that can play mp3 cds. an mp3 player can hold alot more space and you dont have to worry about a disk not working or a disk being scratched. an mp3 player is also MUCH smaller than a cd player.

i've had this problem. ur battery is dead... it just happend over time, it wont hold its charge anymore. so i would recommend getting a new battery but those can cost alot of money.

exactly why i went with nvidia. the ati drivers really are just crap. i have a 7800gt and it can play basically every single game out there on full setting with no lag. the 7900gt can only be better btw, i prefer evga over anything else.

well its prolly the whole comp, but this is ur decision. ram should be at least 1 gig. cpu is prolly a little weak for it but it should be okay. and a video card will help out greatly. now the decision is are you able to spend money on a new computer right now? if not then the video card you will have to buy may already be outdated due to the interface, most likely agp. what motherboard do u have?

for some reason i dont quite like the game.... the gameplay just seems much different than BF2. the mag size is just way too small. man vs man combat is way too easy and there is no way in hell i can take down one of those big walking things without dying 5 times.

not rly sure yet, havnt had any time to play it and im extremely busy the next month... i rly want to play! what sucks tho is that u cant conrole ur pet at all, it just acts how it wants to unless ur sim commands it to do something.

ya that can happen when the driver developers actually work on the x64 drivers, sometimes you'll find that some companies dont give a s*** when it comes to x64 drivers.

Hehehe, I remember running into the same dilemma, ended up plugging both power cables. That HDD lasted less than 5 minutes my friend did that.... it worked fine for prolly about 6 months when i noticed it and yelled at him about it. then showed him the warning sticker right above the power connectors. still works fine tho.
