Do not use it and look elsewhere for Mods then.

Free software with a watermark = accept it and be graceful or do not use it if it bothers you that much or even better donate a few penny's and STFU. Bet you waste more on cigs/drugs/alcohol each day/week.

Sorry as my post was not very good but I was trying to edit it with more info but cannot load this site today, took me 10 tries to get here now. I will do some more homework, check if a DNS issue and come back with pics so ignore my above BS for now.

Thanks for this, All I need now is a n00b way to tweak it as I use a card setting so cannot see some of the text on my apps title bars (some are visible). I sorted IE11's using Classic Shell to show non Glow White text. P.S Is it normal for the colour to revert back to non modded when I hover on the Start button? Edit: It is not the Start Button its anything other than focusing current window, can it only colour 1 window/app at a time?

Aero Glass for Win8.1 RTM RC3
helmutcheese replied to bigmuscle's topic in Aero Glass For Windows 8+
Come on release the Aero pr0n, I need it. -
You added that bit of info (version) in your post on another forum. I see no difference, make it start the way I said above and it will work.

Aero Glass for Win8.1 RTM RC3
helmutcheese replied to bigmuscle's topic in Aero Glass For Windows 8+
I was 100% happy with this in Win 8 (paid for it after 30secs of use) but in Win 8.1 I always got issues with a blue-ish taskbar but think its something to do with the way I installed it. Can I have a look at this "final" build with installer please? If it can look the way it did by default in Win 8 ( minus blur as you said its cannot be done) I be happy and hopefully Classicshell can add blur as I am not installing a 3rd App to do so. -
I am not 100% sure what you are asking. Do you use this (I cannot Copy/Paste here for some reason) but Google 8Gadgetpack.net? Is so you do not want to let it start at start-up by its own method and want to add auto start yourself! Win8/8.1 does not seem so happy as older OS do if you add a shortcut to the "Start" folder, its better to through the Task scheduler", this lets you delay the start up for X time so to avoid conflicts and this is what I assume you want.

Aero Glass for Win8.1 RTM RC3
helmutcheese replied to bigmuscle's topic in Aero Glass For Windows 8+
@ If you read the thread before posting you would know things changed in this build to fix other issues so he cannot do blur now. I love the blur but I would rather this app works after Windows updates so he had to change it and unfortunately blur not working is an effect of this. -
That is a myth due to peeps claiming it can wear out a SSD. System memory is still far faster than any SSD and unused Memory is wasted so why not use it added to the fact caching only reads from the HDD/SSD not writes and SSD's do not wear from reads only writes. Even the 1st DDR memory from 2001 is faster than 99% of todays SSD's at 2100MB/s for DDR266 (PC2100). Windows 7SP1 (AFAIR) onwards does not disable SuperFetch at install on detection of a SSD (or at least never did for me) I think before SP1 it did but never had a SDD then and I always install from a Win 7 SP1 image on my SSD. Windows Driver Foundation uses my CPU a lot taking the CPU out of 1600MHZ idle mode up to 5GHZ.

^^ I will need to keep an eye out for that but so far not noticed that.

Hmm I do not get all the issues. AV may see it as a false positive, report it to your vendor to get it whitelisted. WinRAR does not crash for me. I extracted it to " C:\OldNewExplorer " then ran the install file and accepted the system warning then it worked instantly.

Thanks, I can finally move the details pane to bottom without messing with critical system files than can mess with other things. Also good to get drives back in groups.

Setpoint works fine for me.

Windows 8.1 or IE11 seems to forget things in clipboard unless you copy/paste inside same window/app. If you copy from one window, close it and paste into another its forgot the last thing you copied and paste the previous thing.

Title Bar Text and Background in Windows 8.1
helmutcheese replied to YourNumbr1Fan's topic in Windows 8
I do not have any glow or background to my text in Explorer windows or IE windows, I use Classicshell (the IE part of it controls this) and it has settings to do either but I have not used the explorer side of it so not sure why they are ok as they are. -
Surely if you are legit then best talk to MS.

What is your average win 8.1 x64 memory usage ? (after boot, vx. win 8
helmutcheese replied to Apollo232's topic in Windows 8
2.4GB (after it settles) out of 16GB. I just wish it would cache all my unused RAM a bit more aggressively as its only cached 2GB after 1 hour of idle. Sometimes it will cache all of unused RAM. -
Putting the"license.key" file in there should work, someone here saved it as a edited and saved notepad .txt file AFAIR but there is no need.

You obv did not read other threads : http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163570-aero-glass-for-win81-rtm-alpha-2/

I have same in IE10, I did not know it was a bug but you are correct it does not appear in Windows explorer windows. Edit, now I am confused as it does look same in any window, I have not used any tweaks to get the narrow borders have you? I think its meant to be like that as I can see my desktop through these borders.
-
Why on earth would you even do all that? You simply download the "license.key" and put it as it is in the "AeroGlass" folder and reboot and your regged.
