I will take some screenshots after breakfast as it has changed in behaviour slightly since the last time this happened. 👍

The new SAB that works with the latest DEV causes the two Search methods (Start Menu & Mag Glass icon on Taskbar) to be basically the same just like I mentioned previously including screenshots.

I had that white screen loop due to new DEV build I used CTRL/ALT/DEL and brought up the Task Manager and typed in CONTROL PANEL (the old one will open) and there is a Shortcut to SAB so you can open the GUI and disable it (did not even need restart/log off).

Right clicking the taskbar>Task Manager also does not work in that build either, but I have a shortcut to it in the Start Menu so not a big deal for now. I only use this for the Taskbar now as I prefer the Win 11 Start Menu after some changes they added recently.

Thanks, will see if it plays nice with the changes MS made to SEARCH in DEV, EDIT: Worked for day or so then messed up again.

Unfortunately, a few reboots later it is back to same, searching my Apps opens the other SEARCH window (the Magnify Glass on taskbar), and I cannot type in the either box again. I am going to update to latest Win11 DEV (two builds in two days but big build jump) and latest Edge DEV both today (11th) and see what happens.

New build appears to fix both my issues above (so it was SAB as it does affect the Taskbar.), thanks.

I installed the new DEV build so that fixed my SEARCH issue for now but the Taskbar icons still glitch.

Same as you and me both: "Winuser said: Are the icons pinned to the Taskbar supposed to disappear until the mouse curser scrolls over them in this build or is this a bug caused by me using StartAllBack? The icons on my primary monitor will occasionally disappear until my mouse curser scrolls over them. They appear one at a time as I scroll the mouse curser over them. It doesn't happen on my secondary monitor. I'm not seeing this. Try disabling SAIB and rebooting?"

It is the new native Win 11 Start Menu I am having issue with the two Search functions since I update SAB again and the past two builds have a glitch where when you return to the desktop (if watching full screen movie or waking up monitor out of standby) the icons on the Taskbar are missing till you click on it then they redraw and it is random which ones it happens to (I did have screens but deleted them after the new update as I assumed it would be fixed) so will take them next time it happens again. I cannot type in the green part anymore. And the other Search function is totally wrong now; it does not normally open this:

The new Dev build overwrote the past Search issue I had above so good for now.

I never made any changes and even double checked it did not change by default on the new version.

Installed StartAllBack 3.3.9b the other day but find I cannot use SEARCH or even the SEARCH option in the new Win 11 Start Menu, it simply does not let me type in the boxes and just selects the programs icons, am I also retarded? I assume moving the weather to the left may have broken this.

Ok thanks, this was the day before it released and now it is sitting on my desktop ready to install (movies on weekends).

Updated and now the Start button is not working fully, I can right click but not left click it unless I use the old start menu which I do not want to 99% of the time.

Yes it is the latest Dev but I was not clicking the volume and prefer Modern Flyouts. I had another crash 5mins ago by clicking on the Edge icon on Taskbar but I can wait on next Dev build due soon as they skipped the last 2 weeks builds so it is said to be quite a big deal this time with many changes/fixes and apparently drag/drop to Taskbar may be in this build.

The past 3 builds (inc Betas) can crash for me putting explorer restart into a loop, the only fix is CTRL/ALT/DEL to be able to reboot as I cannot click the Taskbar. The last time was last night when I was Infront of screen drinking a cup of tea and not touching the mouse or keyboard, the PC was only playing music locally so basically idle.

The above setting Mica Effect on Top or Colorize Everything with Accent Color is what I think gave me the issue bellow but I only disabled it the other day , I could not see the new menus (they were still there) and I have highlighted the part that becomes invisible in green. Also the Enhanced Classic Jumplists setting effects MusicBee Shortcut Menu on the Taskbar but does not effect others, I think it needs a Dark Font to fix and someone mentioned something simliar before for the TaskBar effects. Disabled : Enabled: Tihiy you can put that in your pipe and smoke it! 😋

The one on the right is better for me as more settings and not a big waste of space at bottom as I use it daily and as I said before the choice is nice to have so much so I no longer use the SaB old style Start Menu more so since last Dev update you can show more on the PIN's and as there is no toggle button for it (like in SiB ) and you said quite adamantly it would not be coming back but I like the SaB taskbar and some other features, and some I do not use.
