Even if you change those registry values every 1ms, it won't fix your buttons when you change theme. You're trying to fix effect, while you should fix cause. The cause is the Display Properties applet setting rectangular buttons, and you can't simply fix it.

Sure it's the simplest. But consider having 10 packs with 1000 files each. 10000 files will become a headache. So think again.

If you want to use Firefox2 and Firefox3 with different profiles (named FF2 and FF3 for example) you can run Firefox3' firefox.exe with parameter -p FF3 and Firefox2' firefox.exe with parameter -p FF2. You can replace your code with just one WM_COPY. Although, if you're planning to support multiple clipboard formats (the right thing to do), i can't see a problem in your code. Except maybe RichEdit is not in ANSI mode?

Quite strange you can't install or unpack it. Adding into [PerApp] of kexver.ini Firefox Setup 3.0 Beta 5.exe=win2000 is enough to install it. WinRAR >3.50 can unpack the installer. Also note that minimum 0.3.3d is required!

This project is finished. To run Firefox 3 on Win98/Me, install KernelEx 0.3.4 (or later). As simple as is.

Got it working... mostly Well, MoCo don't have one relaxed man-day to make FF3 run ok on older systems. I think they deserve a good kick in the nuts and a good lecture about consequences of fanboyism.

Uh-oh. I've tested wbl on real system with i915GM, worked fine. But! When i've tried it in VMWare, if was kinda catastrophic. First boot, after fade-in (with no animation) Windows started registry restore and was rebuilding registry for a long time. Second boot, complete hang, no activity, no animation. Third boot, scanreg started -> system halt. I should say that in VMWare video register manipulation often produces unexpected results. (With latest WLL, it is fine, even hang problems solved). Also, i've noticed that you're fade-in before actually starting win.com? Then it should be like that, i think: - Zero palette - Load picture - Save bricks - Erase bricks (empty shaft) - Animate palette in ~500 ms - Start animation from invisible left - Start win.com Otherwise, no profit. I think this belongs to subforum. I advice you to start with UberSkin, try selecting classic theme or uninstall it...

Edit gdi.exe with Resource Workshop/ExeScope and change MS Sans Serif string with Tahoma. Set Tahoma everywhere in Display properties.

Why would one launch WLL under Windows? And oh, reading \msdos.sys (\winboot.ini) is a nice idea.
