Seems that AHK extracts icon number, not ordinal. I.e. continuous numbers and -133 will be 52. RP9 doesn't alter that.

Revolutions Pack 9.0.10 now can work with KernelEx 4 i am so sorry http://tihiy.ahanix.org/RP9.exe This release contains no functional changes. However, it resolves the issue with KernelEx/RP9 crashing on Windows ME / 98SE2ME system. It turns that KernelEx has bug with handling shared libraries base addresses conflict and so my libraries had to be rebased. It was simple but so annoying! I'm terribly sorry. Windows ME users are required to install two system updates (if not already) to fix issues with skinning: http://tihiy.ahanix.org/RPUpdates.html

Eeh something is definitely wrong with kex/rp9, especially on Me. RetroOS, what kernel32.dll version you have?

Revolutions Pack 9.0.10 released nothing to see here, move along http://tihiy.ahanix.org/RP9.exe * Implemented 32-bit .ico loader. Unfortunately, i can't fix that. It uses some kind of bats*** insane stack-play which i can't think a way to fix. And it's not guaranteed to work either way.

That's as it should be. RP didn't support 32-bit icons in .ico, but when you had icons with 32-bit format only, it accepted them. Now, it won't work since 32-bit icon loader is separated, and it can't load from .ico. You'll have to wait. And yeah, rendering 32-bit icons with 16-bit shell icons is a Windows 98 shell bug really, since it can't switch icon list depth at runtime properly. Tango icon set bug, really. What bittorrent do you have?

Version 9.0.9 released http://tihiy.ahanix.org/RP9.exe - 32-bit icons were severely re-architected. Now they don't require 32-bit color mode. (!!!!!!!!) As a bonus, it also fixes NVIDIA bugs FOREVER and other bugs which were known. - Fixed cache failure which could lead to GDI corruption/crash in rare cases; - Fixed not properly locked 16-bit memory blocks which could cause crashes(?); - Fixed tray icons layout with large taskbar; - Fixed minor bugs in RPConfig; - Removed KernelEx 4 compatibility message. - Added French translation. This version is still not noob-proof. I don't have time to perform proper polishing :\ Please test and stress it well!

How much memory do you have? It seems your system went into segment swapping. also Which version exactly, and how can I make those console windows appear?

You have selected theme with large taskbar. Choose another one. They're already compatible since kex4 RC2. Some minor problems remain, but they're not noticeable.

glocK_94, forgive me for not answering. Thanks for translation and bug report. Chozo4, thanks for reports. Not quite for me, maybe because i'm using GDI from Me. Anyway, this bug is a mere cache malfunction which i corrected; it shouldn't ever show in real apps (i hope), so wait a bit for fix. I'm busy with fixing DIBENG misfortunes leading for icons-with-non-standard-palette corruption, and they're tough ones. This is 98 shell specific behavior; as with overstretch bugs, i can't really fix it.

Looks like junk. It's my failure too (for not explaining), but you're not supposed to drop whole dlls from Vista or XP into images. Nobody will like 40+ MB of that trash. If you wanna extend icon packs (with icons for file associations), you'll have to persuade user into having your icon library. You shouldn't just mindlessly replicate all files with icons; you can't assume what apps user has installed. I'm talking about jpg gif mp3 etc. So you have to introduce your icon library with neutral 98-Me icon styles, place it into \windows\system, change registry entries and then override it with .images in icon packs. There won't be other way.

No, although i consider to provide integration for them in RP9. If 95 shell had those interfaces, then sure... But you can install 98/Me shell on Windows 95.

CCCP works well i believe (latest versions with KernelEx).
