Interesting. How broken start button becomes? Is it detached from taskbar if you move it around? Does Win key still works?

Because when you uncheck 'Sort items by name' and change item order that order is remembered. Maybe it should be deleted when you recheck it.

Re-download 1.0.2 http://www.startisback.com/StartIsBackPlus_setup.exe I've foolprofed version check. So far you're limited to making start menu not translucent and changing windows color.

Right-click the installer exe, go to compatibility tab and make sure no compatibility mode is selected.

Custom buttons are not automatically scaled, open the configurator and reselect the button. Otherwise i don't see major issues.

I understand you want your settings to be restored, but please don't turn this thread into a support case. Write to support email, with screenshot of the issue if possible.

I understand what your problem is, but the symptoms - blank menu and no ability to pin items indicate that SIB thinks it's trial time out. Sorry for the trouble. Try deleting SOFTWARE\StartIsBack\License and reactivating. If it does not help, please write to support email.

Yes, it's because of that. That will be fixed. I don't plan to. It does not go to start screen, so it should not be colorized like your start screen.

Yeah, currently multi-mon settings seem incomplete.

Does it run properly for any of invoke places (search, all programs, pinned programs, find-exe-path-and-run)? What if you hold ctrl+shift when invoking it (elevating)? What if you right-click it and select Open? What if you do it with keyboard and enter key?

StartIsBack does not really affect taskbar painting. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\StartIsBack] Export those keys from registry.

It's intended and always was this way, otherwise it would show cropped item and that looks bad.

That's your call, no versions of SIB/SIB+ were broken by updates, that applies for GA too.

You can check the SIB+ option 'Enable on corners on secondary screens'. That will make secondary monitors have standard Start button and open start menu on primary monitor only.

That means you have enabled 'All screen corners are active on secondary monitors'.

You can rename it from shell or in-place, however it stays 'This PC' in configurator. If that annoys you perhaps I could display new name in configurator too. That's a rich idea which is floating in the air, however Start screen on side is will have big usability issues due to its huge margins and inability to scroll horizontally.
