  1. lol, good point Jaclaz! I guess the forum rules are not a favorite bedtime reading for some on here.. ~DP
  2. "glass effect is enabled by default even when running on the battery" is still one of my favorite improvements! Thanks for all the great work on this BigMuscle. ~DP
  3. I have 9879 and Start Menu is not transparent like you. What did u do? This has been discussed on here b4 as bigmuscle said: msfn forum => http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163570-aero-glass-for-win81-rtm-rc3/page-35 msdn.microsoft => http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa969537(v=vs.85).aspx classic shell => http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2050&view=next ~DP
  4. Ok so Now you finally got Aero Glass working but with the symbols non aerohost version I sent you, and No I am not going to revise Big Muscles program, so looks like that is as far as you can go until you get your scheduler working properly. Again as I have told you and others on here as well just cut your loses and stop wasting every ones time and Do a full clean reinstall of 8.1. ~DP
  5. So since your task scheduler is not working what version of Aero Glass are you using? "What we've got here is a failure to communicate" ~DP
  6. From your earlier post #3040 you said " i just clicked DisableAero it works really handy script file did you create this? if so please make one from the latest aero glass 1.3.1" so now I am confused at what your want.. ~DP

Untitled-1.jpg Here you go, just copy & paste into txt file then change extension to cmd to run. ~DP @echo off&setlocal&color a&mode con: cols=60 lines=4&&title[~ DISABLE AERO ~]:: ### GET ADMIN RIGHTS (NET FILE||(powershell -command Start-Process '%0' -Verb runAs -ArgumentList '%* '&EXIT /B))>NUL 2>&1:: ### DISABLE AERO GLASS.. %systemroot%\system32\taskkill /f /im aerohost.exe /t 2>nul :: ### RESTART DWM THEN EXIT.. %systemroot%\system32\taskkill /f /im dwm.exe /t >nul start %systemroot%\system32\dwm.exe >nul echo. echo Aero Glass Is Now DISABLED Until Next System Reboot! echo. timeout /t 4 >nul endlocal eof:: ~DosProbie - Aero Glass for Win8.1+ v1.3.1 - 12.10.14
  8. Click on the "DisableAero" script I sent you and see if it disables it, if so then your on the earlier version. ~DP
  9. I never ever had problems with Aero Glass. Everytime I restart Aero Glass has always started up for me since BigMuscle's first release. But I keep that info handy just in case. Also do you run your account as administer I never ever had problems with Aero Glass. Everytime I restart Aero Glass has always started up for me since BigMuscle's first release. But I keep that info handy just in case. Also do you run your account as administer no i don't and forget this it appears this was not the fix sorry the fix was this software by moataz http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/172357-aero-glass-customizer-for-win8x/ this allows you to enable aero since the task did not run i downloaded this and enabled it now it works on batery/reboot and all but! funny i don't see aerohost.exe in taskmanager running but aero is enabled if someone uses this software can you tell me if this is right or not but in any case i have aero now The Reason you don't see Aerohost.exe anymore is because your using a earlier version that is the non aerohost (not the 8.1+10 version)and not dependent on using scheduler to run AeroGlass, which is the one I sent to you. ~DP
  10. I never ever had problems with Aero Glass. Everytime I restart Aero Glass has always started up for me since BigMuscle's first release. But I keep that info handy just in case. Also do you run your account as administer You cant run the aerohost as admin must be run under System which is why Big Muscle set it up via task scheduler and .xml file. ~DP
  11. You find your machine ID in the debug.log file in the aeroglass folder Well of course I can check it from the debug, Which would mean I would have to Install Aero glass first to find my ID and not my preferred method when the generator will do it for me. ~DP
  12. OK, now moving on.. For those of us that have been with this thread from day 1 Big Muscle had a machine ID generator app that would read out the Hardware ID for specific drive, For the life of me I cant seem to find my copy anymore but if anyone has it please let me know. Thanks, ~DP Edit: Ok after a lot of searching on my different external drives I found the file! its called "HDDDetector.exe" and first mentioned with d/l over here => http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170850-aero-glass-for-win81-125/page-44
  13. glad you finally got it working, now all you need is a donation.key to stop the watermark. ~DP
  14. Use a Non aerohost version that's not dependent on task scheduler then, check my pm ~Dp
  15. Well you could do a system repair or reinstall, but check your pm and try that, then let me know if it works.. ~DP
  16. again just look at this to autostart it and then your done will all this chatter. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/67503-task-create-run-program-startup-log.html
  17. Well hopefully the OP read Big Muscles instructions before downloading Aero Glass! Quote: "If you are a beginner and you do not have at least basic system knowledge of Windows (such as registry editing etc.) you should not install this software." ~DP
  18. Glad the Problem is Solved! , just so that it may help out someone else what was the issue and fix? ~DP
  19. It reads that it installed correctly, so there should now be a Aero Glass file in your System32\Tasks for the schedule tasks app to run at every bootup. Anyway zip all your files in your C:\AeroGlass folder and pm them over to me and I will check them on my Lenovo system. ~DP
  20. its says Access Denied because you did not Run As Admin, so this time add a pause at the end of the batch file to see if you get any errors then right click as admin as I told you from my earlier post.
  21. Yep, just as I thought aerohost is not running, which is your problem, in that case just download the schedule.bat file www.glass8.eu/stuff/schedule.bat place it in the AeroGlass folder in your C: drive, right click it as admin then after it runs reboot and see what happens. ~DP
  22. Pull up your command prompt and type in Taskmgr and look for aerohost.exe, if its not running from schedule tasks then Aero will never work. Also do a uninstall and reinstall of aero as well. ~DP
