  1. All good points Jaclaz, and if you want to check which mode then you can always run msinfo32 and check if Bios mode is legacy or uefi. ~DP
  2. the theme has an issue for non Glass users. When the window is inactive, the text background is highlighted: RP_theme_inactive.png can you change this? Probably not as It was not designed for non glass but Aero, but I can look into it, Presently I am looking to updating it anyway and will repost when I have it done. ~DP
  3. I must have missed it somewhere then that Noel needed UEFI booting and not bios booting.. ~DP
  4. Well if your cheap and only want free you can always use Imgburn: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/11194-how-to-create-a-windows-vista-7-8-installation-disc-bootable-using-imgburn/ ~DP
  5. Noel, If you have a Working Recovery from USB, Should be easy enough to just use a bootable .img file then copy all USB files over to desktop and create a Bootable ISO with UltraISO (my personal favorite) http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/index.html Download Bootable Image File => https://copy.com/gCU8VohGN32B Step 1. Insert a blank CD-DVD disc into your tray then create a desktop folder call it ex. "8.1_x64.RecoverDisc" and copy all files-folders of USB over. Step 2. Fire up UltraISo >> "Bootable" >> "Load Boot File" >> Select your bootable .img file provided or your own.Step 3. Select "File" >> "Properties" >> "Media" Select from down arrow your size then check off "Optimize".Step 4. Select "Label" >> In "Volume" type in your disc name "8.1_x64.RecoverDisc" "OK" when done. Step 5. Now Open up your desktop recovery folder you made from Step 1. and copy and paste into top window of UltraISO.Step 6. Select "File" Save As (To your Desktop) and will create a bootable ISO file. Right click iso and set UtraIso as default.Step 7. Now right-click your "8.1_x64.RecoverDisc.iso" file from your desktop, select "UltraISO" from context menu and "Burn to disc". Done, Should now have a Bootable CD-DVD Recovery Disc! ~DP
  6. Seems the link has expired along with Dblake1 as well. ~DP
  7. Nice job Drakula, like the walls in the white line as well. ~DP
  8. Ok, got it working now! As soon as I reinstalled OldNewExplorer the sidebars showed up again, Does anyone know what Files are patched with it? ~DP
  9. Edit: With OldNewExplorer running Side and Top bars are enabled. ~DP
  10. Edit: Solved by enabling OldNewExplorer. ~DP Windows 8.1.1 Floating Theme (Without image on side or top bar)
  11. I Feel your pain Windows 8 was a heck easier to Port over that 8.1 especially when working with the protected system files.. ~DP
  12. Here You go ==> http://bit.ly/1oIGBmt ~DP
  13. You need to install it on C:\AeroGlass. I once installed it in a different location and it didn't work Actually I run mine in the non profile Public folder " C:\Users\Public\AeroGlass" and works well. Plus as a added bonus I like it where it is somewhat hidden so others can't muck with it. ~DP
  14. I thing if memory serves me correct MrGrim already ported it back in January. DP
  15. FYI: Windows 8.1 treats shell32.dll like the sacred cow and will fuss and bsod when making icon image changes unlike Windows 7, but for secondary .dll files such as ExplorerFrame.dll and imageres.dll it's usually no problem. ~DP
  16. "Yes, it is true that these two settings may not work correctly, because they should be stored into HKLM but I guess that the app stores them into HKCU which has not been tested at all." BM thanks for the reply and you are correct sir, I did a registry search after my bug post for "DisableGlassOnBattery" and found it in the per user HKCU, so should be a easy fix. ~DP
  17. @ BigMuscle as per your request "Please, report all its bugs or expected features, so I can finish it and release it" -When launching your Gui on battery and checking off the "Disable transparency.." When I click the "Save" button nothing happens. ps: I also ran it as admin and same thing. ~DP
  18. Thanks Magic! This is what I have revised so far with the explorer ribbon nav buttons from your file. ~DP Aero 8.1 RP
  19. Great, sounds good and btw if you or anyone else can send me the ExplorerFrame.dll file for the RP I would really appreciate it, seems the Microsoft redmond download site has pulled the rp downloads. ~DP
  20. Spare Time? I retired the first of the year but still do computer work for others in my "Spare Time" or part time as I like to call it and get paid well for it and sleep good at night without any guilt. lol ~ DP

  22. I don't see how all this whining about donations has anything to do with furthering the development of Aero Glass which this tread was originally intended for. Instead of continually making useless posts about this, just start up you own thread and discuss it there. Personally I have supported Aero Glass from day one (with beta testing and financial support) and feel its a Great value with enjoying my Windows experience on 8.1, If anyone wants to fine fault then complain to Microsoft for removing Aero Glass and not Big Muscle who brought it back for all of us to Enjoy! ~DP
  23. Per website.. Is it possible to support the development by a donation?Yes, this is possible and if your donation has a meaningful value for the development, you may receive a limited number of keys..
