Thanks Schwups, are you still using Kstub822.ini: [iPHLPAPI.DLL] GetAdaptersAddresses=t5 ?? The iphlpapi.dll in my system is 5.00.1717.2

The new stable release of Flashplayer 18.0.0.160 crashes SeaMonkey 2.0.14 as soon as I try to play a file on, e.g., Youtube. Verified on two different machines. Anybody got it to work with another browser ?

KernelEx 2022 (Kex22) Test Versions (4.22.26.2)
MiKl replied to jumper's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Seriously? It's not enough for you that someone has taken it upon themselves to continue this project, you have to come in here and start nitpicking about all the sources not being available? Be glad someone is willing to spend their time continuing to work on KernelEx in this day and time. And I certainly support jumper in the stance that releasing bugged versions and sources helps no one. He is under no obligation to spend his time on this project for you or anyone else - if it takes him some time to polish his current version and make the sources available, then that's his business and his alone. My request for the source code is between me and Jumper, however anyone else may request the source code and it is their right to request it. Jumper is only one person, and I myself am only one person. However, combined we can be two people with the skills and the will to improve this project. Then why didn't you contacted Jumper via PM first to offer your help instead of coming here making request and legal threats ?? And what do you think are the chances now that Jumper even thinks about working with you ? -
It seems that more have been changed in Audacity 2.1. I receive the following error message. Edit: Audacity 2.1 works on my main machine (P4/ICH5) but crashes on AMD/VIA

Cool, thanks !! By the way, is there a way to restore the original time stamp after such a fix ??
-
@ DougB. In case you have not tested it yet - increase the cache and see if it improves playback. -> Open Media dialogue -> DVD -> on the buttom click on 'more options'. I have 4000 msec. there and smooth playback. @ Schwups. Equalizer indeed does not work while playing DVDs.
-
I noticed that too otherwise I would have never even tried to test a regular audio CD with VLC. DVD playback seem to be a little bit broken but what worked here on my system was when in the 'Media -> Open Disc'-dialogue to click browse and actually select the video_ts folder on the DVD. @Schwups. I have no problems with FLAC files.
-
Same here ! Pete, could you check if you are able to play a regular audio CD with VLC ?? Thx.
-
Thx, but I had all necessary functions already in place but XULRunner does not work here.
-
Do you mean all these dll replacements that IP40 is suggesting ? For example for XUL.dll: [Patches needed] xul.dll=DLLs, Functions [DLL replacements] nss3.dll= NSLDAP32V60.dll= NSLDAPPR32V60.dll= mozalloc.dll= mozjs.dll= sandboxbroker.dll= gkmedias.dll= icuin52.dll= WTSAPI32.dll= mozglue.dll= Sorry, I am not a programmer so I have no idea what to do.

Firefox 3.x + KernelEx: MathML not working properly
MiKl replied to diamant's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Thank you, but overall this is not such a big issue, just 4 mouse clicks more than if it would work directly from a KEx-browser into CD11 ! -
@ Loblo. I did had added these functions, except the '=f4'. Will try again in a few minutes. Nope, does not work here. @ Jumper. Is the following recommended/necessary ? (IP40 mentioned it.) [Mozglue.dll] ?DllBlocklist_Initialize@@YAXXZ= ;für SM2.32 ?
-
@ jumper. SM2.32 does not start on my systems - I receive an error message from XULRUNNER that XPCOM could not be loaded. But if I may ask, do you see any chances that the 'bookmark issue' can be fixed ?

Firefox 3.x + KernelEx: MathML not working properly
MiKl replied to diamant's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
@ diamant. Thank you for your reply ! Yes, it was indeed a SeaMonkey issue within 'about:config'. I don't remember if I changed this setting sometime in the past or NoScript set it up wrongly during its installation but after changing 'noscript.forbidFonts' to true all font issues I had are gone. Yes, copying an image from all non-KernelEx browsers works perfectly. Using e.g. SM2.014 nothing just shows up in CorelDraw 11. Maybe this would work again in a later version of CorelDraw needing KEx ? -
KernelEx 2022 (Kex22) Test Versions (4.22.26.2)
MiKl replied to jumper's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
@ Jumper. I have done some more testing on the hang/freeze issue of SeaMonkey (ZIP) 2.7. and 2.7.2 !! Just unzipped they run absolutely fine but as soon as I change anything in the settings - especially in the tabbed browsing section - these hangs occur !! I think that settings of apps which are ignored/have no effect could be a big problem down the road. Quite bad in this regard is also MPC-HC. It just ignores e.g. external filters, etc. (This crashes the whole OS on, luckily only, one of my PCs. Only fix seem to be to deactivate the internal filter H264/AVC (FFmpeg) but then I have only audio because external filters are ignored !!) -

XNConvert (Zip) starts fine here in all comp modes but crashes most often right after I have dragged&dropped the first image into the app. -
KernelEx 2022 (Kex22) Test Versions (4.22.26.2)
MiKl replied to jumper's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Earlier today I downloaded SeaMonkey 2.6.1 ZIP and did some testing. Comp. mode: default or Win98SE, etc. -> Websites are rendered as expected (mouse over links, etc.) + Flashplayer not working Comp. mode: NT -> Websites working but Not rendered as expected + Flashplayer not working Comp. mode: Win2000 and higher -> Websites working but Not rendered as expected + Flashplayer working ! On later versions of SM (2.7.x, 2.8.x, 2.9.x) there is no sound while playing flash videos and unfortunately these SM-builds still hang after a few seconds as I already posted earlier. Edit&Follow up: I have received the info that the above is unfortunately not as new nor as awesome as I thought Much better is search©&paste NPSWF32_16_0_0_287.dll as NPSWF32.dll directly into the browsers plugin folder ! Comp. mode: default or Win98SE, etc. -> Websites are rendered as expected (mouse over links, etc.) + Flashplayer working But for me this is still good news because that leaves 'only' the bookmark issue to be fixed. -

Flashplayer 16.0.0.287 which was just released works perfectly ! But, by the way, Shockwave 12.0.0.112 is the last version that actually works ?! -

Due to the server crash several postings seem to be gone - however, this time I had some problems with release .6 !! After reaching desktop explorer crashed mentioning kexbases.dll in the error message. A manual downgrade of kexbases to the version from .5 helped. I tried to save the stack dump but no app worked !! Does anyone know what to do in a situation like this ? (I mean, except writing it all down on paper.) @ Jumper. You asked about Thunderbird and SeaMonkey. I have to admit that I did not tested these builds/versions for a very long time and just started again with your KernelEX upgrades but I am pretty sure that especially TB 11 and SM 2.8 and 2.9 would have never worked with the latest release from Xeno. That these two are freezing may have something to do with the fact that I am on a German 98SE and I have implamented 982ME and SP only up to the point where files caused troubles, like Kmixer.sys from ME ! Would be interesting if maybe DougB could test them as well. -

MiKl replied to jumper's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Still no problems here with the new dll's !! Thunderbird 11.0.1 is working great even in default comp. mode. Versions 12.x. were starting too but did hang after a few seconds. Will check later if this was because I did not created a 'complete' profile. No progress unfortunately on the browser bookmark issue though. Edit/Follow up: Same situation on SeaMonkey 2.8 and 2.9 ! They start but hang after a few seconds. But, of course, it is amazing that they fire up at all !! -

Same here ! I was about to ask if it is safe and recommended to comment these defs out now. I have tested SeaMonkey 2.7 (from RayFlood) and bookmarks and Flash unfortunately still do not work. @DougB. Yesterday I have tested MPC-HC and earlier versions seem to work until 1.6.2.4902 !! After that there is only one video renderer available and it seems also to be crippled. But thank you Jumper !!!!!!!! -
Firefox 3.x + KernelEx: MathML not working properly
MiKl replied to diamant's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
I have a similar problem with 'font awesome'. FireFox 2.0.20 displays the fonts on this site perfectly: http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ While on SeaMonkey 2.0.14 I see them only for a fraction of a second and then these squares show up. Follow up: After locally saving the site the fonts are displayed as they should. Is this just a strange behaviour because SM 2.0.14 work only because of KernelEx ? I also can not c&p an image from a website directly into CorelDraw 11. I need to c&p it into IrfanView (or another image viewer, etc.) and then c&p the image into CD11. -
All KernelEx/Kext depending apps seem to work fine with the files !! Very cool. @ Loblo. Could you install Java 7 in the 'old' way via the msi in appdata\sun\java ??

@ DougB, try commenting out all msvcrt-entries in kstub822.ini and see if the 'new' error goes away. Then you can 're-activate' one at a time. I think you will just need a def, like '= z2' @ Jumper, yesterday I have commented out the 2 iphlpapi.dll entries in my kstub and the system booted without any problem ! All apps worked.
