  1. Major, "Digital Audio appears twice in Audio Format Settings Decoder only, not in Encoder, finnally, one cannot configure WMP audio in Encoders, hit the configure button and nothing happens; onlyWMP Also it happens the same in the version of Nero Burning (I refer to the original install nero), anyway i will have a look in it, also any solution from anyone is appreciated." Been too long since I installed/used the original/bloated Nero7 but, Nero-7.7.5.1_english_lite did not have this restriction; for want of a better term, actually, in the scheme of things this really doesn't matter. I only mentioned it for completeness. I was wandering if it is possible to retain the choices during install, as did Nero-7.7.5.1_english_lite, of whether or not one wants Nero VCD support or the Mausau plugins etc.; check boxes contained in the install dialogue box-checked=install, unchecked=do not install. This way one could have more control over it; I personally do not install the Mausau, find them too much and buggy-the filters always being updated, but, alot of people think otherwise so, choice would be nice. I, personally, use WinDVD to play DVD movies and DivX to encode so, again, I would choose no to Nero VCD Lastly, thanks for this; I am not understating the obvious when I say we are all delighted you continued the project; and was able to do so successfully; any testing help you need......etc.
  2. Type in the correct info for your User, Company and serial number; ie: "Serial7_1177435233" = "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", then, copy and paste below into notepad. Save as "Nero7_Installation.reg" sans quotes. Double click the reg file and click ok to merge into registry and, voila, no more popup; or you can manually change the MissingFilesState=1 to 0 in the registry. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info] "User"="xxxx xxxxxx" "Company"="xxxx xxxx" "Version"="7.8.5.0" "EulaAccepted"="1" "Serial7_1177435233"="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" "MissingFilesState"="0"
  3. Installs without error; launching any of the Nero apps...BurningRom, Nero CoverDesigner...etc. causes features/files missing popup dialog box with an update button to hit for add'l features/files etc.; which, of course we do not want. I hit the update button for testing purposes and an error occurs; hit "OK" and all of Nero Burning ROM's apps installed will launch correctly- MissingFilesState="1" must be changed to "0" to prevent this; refer "Nero7_Installation.txt" in attached cab, only the Nero Core\NeroBurningRom_Eng.chm shortcut is created in All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Nero 7\Manuals, the other help file shortcuts I had to create manually-no biggie, the Desktop shortcut is created irregardless of whether the option is chosen, Nero Digital Audio appears twice in Audio Format Settings Decoder only, not in Encoder, finnally, one cannot configure WMP audio in Encoders, hit the configure button and nothing happens; onlyWMP...all others configure correctly. Refer to the attached cab for images of the errors. I added some files to the already started multi-session DVD+RW-burned without error, just now finished burning 3.8G to a new multi-session compilation-DVD+RW as I was typing this; burned correctly without error. Sooo, this is basically a winner. Many thanks!!!
  4. Many thanks; will try an install immediately, burn some additional files to a multi-session DVD+RW already started before with Nero-7.7.5.1_english_lite to see how it operates and report back.
  5. D:\Nero I have four Partitions on two striped 150G Raptors; C: D: E: F: where C: is the primary/active partition, D: E: F: are logical partitions
  6. Two errors, one during installation-serial number entered but error in activation from your installer-refer "install error" attached in cab file; one after installation and serial number manually entered into registry-refer "launch error" attached in cab file. Consequently, Nero will not run; wants a serial number entered even though my valid one is.
  7. Acheron, Is there some sort of help file or guide for the SDK, very new at this and require a tutorial on how to use.
  8. If you were using 2.18 RyanVM issued a small update addon to address the issue. Also, in the forum for his AIO addon there are posts on how to repair an already installed/up and running situation that work; I tried both solutions out because I had the same problem; all work. RyanVM has now released 2.19 and this concern is, as they say, history. RyanVM's DotNet all-in-one installer installs 1.1, 2 and 3 with all hotfixes and the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redstributable Package at T-13 from svcpack; I am typing this from such an install; works beautifully. You can also run this AIO pack from runonce; T-13 is much better. Use one of Boooggy's current WMP11 addons or slipstreamer; again all available at RyanVM's forums; winXP install is perfect, no issues, WMP11-5212 up and running perfectly with all hotfixes/updates.
  9. Awesome news and thankyou; was just wandering if the NeroLiteSDK is still available. I would like to tinker with it.
  10. I have a Win98SE CD that I will give you free of charge-post an email address here where I can contact you to make arrangements.
  11. Yes, and am typing this on a fresh install
  12. Use this: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html or this: http://boooggyaddons.xable.net/ Check it out here: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1163 and http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewforum.php?...d38f45b7c36723a and http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/ and finnally http://www.doitrightconsulting.net/forum/index.php (you must register-free-to view downloads) all is slipstreamed with no errors, fast and stable nLite-1.3.rc2 including component removal, tweaks etc. WinXP pro 32-bit English
  13. The best way to use Rougespear's DotNet addons, for me, is to run the all-in-one "RogueSpearAddonsDotNET11SP120-VJ1120" from SVCPACK, then run his "030_dotNET30-WSE" from runonce; no other DotNet anything, hotfixes or downloads are required-his runtimes contain all updates etc. I find I have to reboot once after clean install has completed. Lastly, I've included a Word 2003 file I have that explains his various packs etc. This is a dupl of that on his website. You have to register-free- to view and get his downloads. All was/is done using nLite-1.3.rc2 Just one final note; there are prerequisite updates/hotfixes all of which are contained in RyanVM's or Boooggy's latest update packs. Again, all done with nlite-1.3.rc2 and available via RyanVM's Torrent or website and, for Boooggy, xable's hosted it-all info etc. available here:http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/
  14. Use Rougespear's DotNet addon Packs.
  15. All is good XP Pro SP2 using nLite 1.3 RC2 to slipstream RyanVM's RVMUpdatePack2.1.6 and sundry addons from his site, Rougespear's DotNet 1.1 and 2 from SVCPACK and 3 from runonce. Close out after this and reboot, remove all ini's nlite created, then, use nlite to remove components, tweak and slipstream IE 7 plus the hotfix. I've found it is necessessary not to do all at once.
  16. Hi nhui, nlite 1.2.1 final allowed for all tweaks correctly; ie: eye candy removal-classic folders, desktop, Taskbar and Start Menu. All visual effects in system advanced performance settings and Desktop effects adhered to what was selected in nlite; as of 1.3rc none of the effects settings work and the taskbar/start menu comes up as default. On a more positive note driver integration is stellar-especially for the ATAPI nforce sw drivers-for whatever reason, the best yet so far-no errors or performance issues; as I have with the standard MS ATAPI drivers. Just some feedback. Thanks
  17. Slipstreamed with nlite 1.2.1 final, RyanVM update pack 2.1.5a, Boooggy's WUZero_UpdatePack 1.0.2, several addons from RyanVM's forums, Rougespear's .NET runtimes, drivers etc. Run this to restore the Quick Launch Desktop icon; regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32 No problems with sounds. No Advanced Options concerns.
  18. nuhi "RickSteele, if you did it in order as stasys44 says then explain to me how to get those errors." stasys44's post had not been published yet when I posted. I'm sorry, but, I did not save any ini's or error logs. The install was so bad that I immediately deleted the partition and restored my backup. What I am saying is; 1) I am not able to successfully use RyanVM's integrator and then, after; at some future date, use nlite to slipstream other/more current update packs or MS hotfixes in that same image. I must use one or the other. ie: I must use either nlite or integrator to install RyanVM's 2.14 and, say, boooggy's latest zero update pack afterwards-which, by the way, is doable and worked fine for me-posted results in Boooggy's forum aka RyanVM. I cannot use integrator for the 2.14 and nlite for the zero update in the same image. 2) I cannot use integrator to slipstream 2.14 and nlite to slipstream, say, the following month's hotfixes etc. I must use nlite to slipstream 2.14 and, then, any other updates/hotfixes will slipstream via nlite without error. Again, these are just random examples of my experience mixing the two apps for updates/hotfixes in an English slipstream only; just update packs/hofixes. 3) stasys44's method works fine for me and always has, but, you will notice only removal and tweaks, no mix and match of apps for updates/hotfixes. As for Terminal Services...etc. I cannot explain it as I only removed the eye candy, Windows colors, screensavers etc. SFC is left activated-I like it. As a result I had no logon-Admin only and so forth-this sort of thing occurred twice, so, now I use nlite only to slipstream any and all update packs, addons, IE7 and so forth, removals, tweaks without error-I am typing this now on such an install. I do all the update packs, addons etc. at the same time with one exception; If I want to apply Booogy's pack over Ryan's I must slipstream only 2.14 and finish, then, open a new nlite session and slipstream Booogy's then finsh again to open a third new nlite session for any addons, removals, tweaks etc. being careful not to dupl anything provided for in the update packs-WMP11 for example. This is my experience with the above. Just a little note here for nuhi, This should go in the bug forum, but, I am unable to find.....down possibly? Soooo The Desktop and System tweaks all work fine now with only three exceptions; visual styles on windows and buttons and transistion effect for menu and tooltips are still checked, Classic Control Panel still shows large icons. One caveat, one must reboot after first logon and runonce has successfully terminated for tweaks like a system Temp folder change to show correctly. That's it, I mean all else now works flawlessly, including any and all services tweaks; awesome nuhi and thanks a bunch!
  19. I tried to use both to integrate as you are going to do and the image bombed; all kinds of cannot copy errors in textmode-terminal services among them. You must either use RyanVM integrator 1.42 or nlite 1.2.1, but not both; English install.
  20. dougiefresh I'm not sure I understand your reply. That URL is a good one to go to for problems etc. Being that IE 6 hyperlinks are mostly broken this was the only way I could reach anything referred to in a hyperlink; including the one I posted here. "You do know that you can right-click on a hyper-link and select "Copy shortcut"-not copy the shortcut but copy the URL in the properties of the shortcut which for most is quite different from what is shown in the hyperlink name; this one just happens to be the same. For RyanVM's Web Site it is http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...pid=572368& to copy and paste. Further, all my installs were RyanVM and nlited, so I'm burning a stock iso with all the hotfixes manually integrated to see what happens....tomorrow sometime.
  21. dougiefresh "I've just installed the newest October 2006 updates from Microsoft via Windows Update, then rebooted my computer. Since then, Internet Explorer won't open a new page by clicking on a link like it did before (i.e.: on RyanVM's Web Site. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?" I have the same problem; and it extends to all MS programs, ie: Outlook Express, Outlook 2003, All of the Office 2003 apps-Word 2003 etc. I did a Google search for Hyperlinks do not work and found several sites from that search, tried all of the recommendations to no avail; the KB's were all outdated, as was the advice. The only way I was able to restore all hyperlink functions was to install IE 7 rc1 for WinXP SP2; or not install the October updates. I even did two fresh reinstalls. So, until I can figure out or find a cure IE 7 rc1 it is; also, I'm checking here: http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/default.aspx copy and paste the URL in you address bar. Also, if you right click any link, hit properties, copy and paste the URL in your address bar, IE6 will take you there-a pain in the a*s to say the least
  22. Here in "Update Pack Addons" by ryanVM near the bottom of the page: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html
  23. I posted a similar crash at nhui's bug report site; for me nlite 1.2b creates an exception error only after completing SP2 slipstream, no other options selected and immediately follows the click "next" button to finish. I included a jpg of the screen capture there. No other info about the error given and no admin logs ie: system, application. If nlite 1.2b is opened again to complete the rest of the customization; ie: component removal, tweaks etc. it performs all with no further errors. I delete my ini files always after each customization so cannot post them here but, have posted the complete ini files from one install at the bug report forum, and I always do the same thing-just remove eye candy, force classic desktop etc.
